Make Dragoon's pet like a summon in FFVII and the other FF games on console. It appears, does one hit, disappears. Then it's not really a "pet" but still could be very cool.

I could probably get behind that, if it wasn't a consistent thing. But would the most outspoken among Wyvern supporters be ok with it?
I was under the impression that it was 'constant partner by my side or bust'. Which is why I went with the mount idea. (Well, also that and perhaps the deeper game-play available by actually taking care of your wyvern and customizing it.)

My idea:
Why does the Wyvern have to add damage? Cant it be a semi passive pet? Maybe it provides a party buff while out, or perhaps it does the weaponskills FOR the dragoon.
Who says it has to attack with the dragoon?

So it would just totally trash the lore for even less reason.. I so see the point in that. /facepalm
A DRG should be seen a Dragon killer in XIV, it fits with the lore and fits with a lot of other FF's, its a win win situation.
Also most people seem to be against it... So why should it happen? really?
most people were for Auto attack and we have to put up with that as the ones who didn't want it dumbed down and made less interactive...
Fair is Fair.. really, just get over it![]()

Totally trash the lore? All the lore we have is that Ishgard, the city we can't access, or even interact with, fights dragons... Oh btw we won't get Ishgard until 2.0, after seventh umbral era.So it would just totally trash the lore for even less reason.. I so see the point in that. /facepalm

Also I think a lot of people who voted no in the poll were voting not to have a wyvern like FFXI, aka a pet that follows, attacks, and can be killed. That's not the same as having something like dragon-based weaponskill.

Circus is right. Why cant there be instanced events?
Like a levequest. party only events like calling a wyvern or summon.

Don't see why people think just because "FFXI" they going to be bad again in ffxiv. I love how some people saying it should just stay in ffxi. Well i think jumping,Dungeon finder, language servers, should stay wow and other game but i don't mind having it if it make other happy.
I hope DRG still get a Wyvern sometime SE need to do something for the people that get the less votes -.- should not always listen to the 80% of players. Maybe this is the reason listening to the player base is a bad idea and i hope SE goes back to stop listening to us and every complain and just make few things how they want it and not something we request. I myself don't like DRG i like samurai, monk, warrior but it still nice to have DRG with a wyvern but if the lore don't make sense then ok don't have the pet.

IThe wyvern was the coolest thing about dragoon to me. I think that you should be able to summon it if you want.
