Constant lag freezes, DCs and bad customer support.

i feel like the constant DCing is getting worse.(havent had this problem since patch 3.3). but i have a question, maybe it has nothing to do with the DC, but just curious. we are using a brand new router and modem (im basically sitting right on top of it, upstairs). I notice that when i DC, i loose connection to skype on my other monitor. would the game DCing effect the whole computer? or..?
i know im not the only one that has had this issue since 3.3..i just wish it would get fixed.
get dc'd- try to get back in. "Oh no, theres a problem with the data center so we're going to kick you out of the game" then you have to sign in all over again then wait 5 minutes cause youre character is still logged in.. :/

I'm having this exact issue, iirc started after that emergency maintenance on sunday. Every 15 mins or so i freeze for around 20 secs then everything fast forwards and no freezes when server traffic is low.

I've made a ticket about it, but no response yet. Hoping for a fix, as i can't even raid with my static properly.

If you lose connection to other things on your computer, then it's not the game - it's either your router or your connection specifically, or even something in your computer. But in your case, it has nothing to do with FFXIV and/or their servers.

Also, the main issue in this thread has less to do with disconnections from the game, and more to do with freezes that happen every 15 minutes or so. If you aren't experiencing any freezing, then you have a different issue.

Anyways, I downloaded WTFast and have been using it to run the game this weekend. No freezes ever since. It's got a 14-day free trial so I recommend everyone who is having these freezes to check it out. Hopefully after those 14 days, the problem will be gone and there won't be any more freezes. If not, well... I guess you'll either have to add $5 to your bill every month for WTFast, deal with the freezes, or straight out quit. .__.

Did you notice any difference in your ping? Some people said that they lag a lot with WTFast.

i wouldnt say i freeze but sometimes ill get some major lag before it disconnects me. or actually just now before it DC'd, it wouldnt let me move, push any button or anything before. then it says something about the launcher version and wont open the game at all. idk.
