A little suggestion for savage loot system

It would be nice if every single patch one floor was opened for free farming without the weekly lockouts. This would speed up the progression making it easier for many players to finish the raid season before it ends and also much more easier to get and gear up replacement players for static groups mid season.

To follow this season it would mean something like this:

    3.2 - A5S - Opened for farming
    3.25 - A6S - Opened for farming
    3.3 - A7S - Opened for farming
    3.35 - A8S - Opened for farming
    New season -> 3.4 - A9S - Opened for farming

The current system isn't flexible enough, in my opinion, because the lockouts are too long in comparison to the duration of one raiding season and that's especially true for the later floors.

The main reason why the Party Finder is not working for the harder content and so many groups disband after few wipes is caused by the players who ignore the comments.

Getting to the phase XYZ once does not mean you are ready to join parties to do XYZ.

Parties should spend most of the time doing the phase that is written in the comment not trying to get there.

Which is exactly the reason we do have the lockout. It is there to slow down the progression.

I get that. Nothing against slowing down progression during the first weeks of new season. But as most of the things in this game it is either slow or outdated. That's why I think there should be some sort of transition...

Or we could make the raid season last few months longer to compensate for the slowed progression before adding the next tier - but I doubt anybody would like that. ^^

The point is that SE earns money with you and your weekly loot. Imagine if people get their whole gear in a week together, they would get even more bored and would probably stop paying for the game. Thats why it will never happen in the way you'd like to have it.

That's why I suggested it should unlock gradually with patches, so that players stay subbed.

Tbh. if this feature was locked behind the sub for the whole raid season I would not mind paying it to give SE better sense of security when it comes to my wallet.

Currently as it stands right now with the token system, if you are clearing the content in a relative quickly manner, you will get all of the gear you want. Of course this varies based on what your "best in slot" is, and actual drops from clearing every week. All your system does is allow for people who are coming into the season later, and give them a sort of pick-me up. But in reality, we already have that with the 24-man raids. It comes out at the halfway point between raiding seasons, and always has been a way to get extra gear that is of equal ilvl to the current, no-upgraded token gear. I see nothing wrong with the current system in place and think that your idea would be nothing more than a waste of resources to implement.

I disagree because of the weekly lockouts. The token system restricts a lot of items to only once a week and a lot of luck. There are some people who go through a raid dozens of times and never see the item piece they need. I've noticed a lot of Healer classes who are stuck in the Weeping City trying to get their chest piece, but it hasn't dropped in 60+ attempts. Even if you only get one piece of equipment a week from Lore and Weeping City, it will still take you 7 weeks to gear up because of the equipment. This is a long time and will be impossible for anyone who isn't able to start at the beginning of a patch. New players who want to get into raiding won't be able to participate until the next patch is released or if there is a long time between updates because of these restrictions. This makes it hard for new players to get into raids and for older people to get into raiding. Your only chance is to be present at the beginning of a patch and then spend some time farming up the new Tomestones for equipment.

As long as those restrictions are in place, it's just going to stop newer players from being interested in it when they realize it's going to take at minimum a month to get what they need and they have to spend most of the time doing something else instead of working towards their goal.
