Please hire GM Wardens that can suspend and ban bots

It is so easy for real players to spot cheaters that Square Enix should have a solution other than filing a complaint to a Special Task Force and never get a response.

If it was truly a force, they should have staff that players could interact with and they come in-game to evaluate the situation and take action.

I have never played WoW, but know from a friend that they have Game Wardens that can deal with RMTs and botters in-game.

If they truly want to be a competitive MMO, they need to have staff.

I hope they consider this in the future.

Agreed. Last night while I was running to Camp Nine Ivies I spotted a fishing bot. I tried to report it via the in-game support desk, but when it just redirected me to an out-of-game website I decided it just wasn't worth my effort. We need in-game GM's to make an impact.

title makes no sense, are you insinuating that they hired someone incompetent? and that replacing them would fix the issue? They have GMs that can be contacted, but they are unable to do anything about bots.

If you go to Support Desk, in FFXIV, and then choose: Feedback / Bug Reports / CHEATS & BOTS, this is what it says:

Visit the website and go away.

Well, the one I saw had no bait/lure equipped and repeatedly was casting and putting away his rod for the 5 minutes I watched.

It's easy to spot a bot.

To quote an annymous friend who spotted them:

"They move in union ... draw weapons at same time ... cycle through targets and then in union move to the next spot. If I claim a mob, the bots still will run over and shoot my claim"

If they have the same character model and gear or are always in the same area 24/7.

Bots are easy to spot.
