Hey Yoshi, I think it's time.
Hey Yoshi, I think it's time.
Dude where's my sprout
One can but hope. I have a naive dream that 4.0 will give us DX12 and a new texture detail level, but I'm not exactly getting my hopes up.![]()
I'd rather the existing normal maps get used first so the textures don't look so flat on the ground, barely affected by the environment lighting.
The textures themselves really aren't that bad. It's just the way the post processing is that makes them look a little less than to be desired. I still absolutely love how the game looks already, but it could definitely use some upgrades.
I think they should definitely be trying to get DX12 since DX11 seems to give so many issues to a bunch of people anyway. As Kaisha said, I'd rather the maps get used better, and to see better things like parallax occlusion, AA, etc. Better physics effects for things like cloth would be nice as well, but that's pushing it.
Again, I love how the game looks already, and this isn't a complaint, just suggestions. That being said, this shouldn't be posted in Technical Support since this is really a suggestion thread.
