    About the Summer DLC Campaign

    So, Amazon pulled a dick move on me.

    I ordered a game on Amazon so I could get the DLC for the campaign items, but when I didn't get the code in the 2 days as said in the campaing terms, I decided to ask them what happened. This is the answer I get:

    I'm sorry for any misunderstanding.

    I've checked and see that you've placed this order for Japan address.

    As informed earlier, These item codes will only work on North American Square Enix accounts and will not work on accounts from a different region.

    I'm sorry this code wasn't eligible for Japan region.

    However, if you no longer need this item, please refuse the package and write back to us so that we'll help you further.

    I'm so sorry, but we can't offer any additional insight or action on this matter.

    We appreciate your business and hope to see you again soon.

    Thing is, my account is not a JP account, it is NA based. I only moved to Japan a few months ago. Contacted Amazon again explaining the situation and saying my account is from NA and asking again for the code, no answer. And the campaign ended today.

    Wonder if I can get some SE support in this matter, since I have absolutely no blame in Amazon thinking that just because I oredered from a different country my account wasn't eligible for the campaign. Furthermore, If I ASKED them about the code it means I know my account is eligible to get it. I am not stupid, I read the info about the campaign before ordering (twice if you count the mail they sent me once I asked about eligibility because I bought a preorder game - still during the original period of the campaign - but the purchase was only confirmed by them on the last day of the original period - I sent them a mail before finding out the campaign had been extended).

    This is such a legal conundrum, the problem what should SE consider your account to be. If you're account is considered NA you should get the code and it should probably work. Now don't take my word for this, I'm just spouting ethics.

    I feel Amazon simply doesn't want to give you the code, because of some legal shit or policy because you live in Japan and they're not allowed to extend their sale out of states.
