You know, the whole "changing gender" thing is actually doable in real life (albeit it's greatly stigmatized for no good reason), not to mention doable to some extent given Eorzea's tech level—the worshipers of Cybele, for instance, existed during Greco-Roman times, and they're hardly the only real-life historical examples of this. So I honestly don't understand that "changing race is more believable than changing gender" thing I've seen people spout in this thread—then again, I'm not exactly living as the gender I was assigned at birth, so I guess I necessarily see gender as being more fluid than most people would.

Personally, I think that gender should absolutely be on the list of things you can generally reroll, along with obvious stuff like face/hair, name, and I'll also say race should be something you should generally be able to reroll too, because it's a magical fantasyland where you could easily say "it's magic" as a way to handwave it away.
