Yes this a thousand times. Its long been known that there are other hair styles and face patterns in the game, already installed on your computer that are unused. Even if I like my sex and race for my character maybe I would like to pick a new hair style when its made available.

I think with the trend of things the team has been doing for the game and us the fan base this last year its highly likely that they would give us at least 1 do over when they officially drop 2.0.

If they need to put in a story line for it you know do a funny story line about seeing a wizard and getting a spell cast on you or go "Over seas" for a "procedure". Make us a random character for different parts of the quest. See start npc poof your a woman, see the second npc poof now your something else. Give us a laugh in the process but end it with us getting to pick out what we end up with and there ya go, story line to explain the changes all done and with comedy.

i would like to be able to redo one or both of my characters and if i wanted to change more then one time i wouldent have a problem paying 5$ witch i think would = 500crysta if im correct.

but the thing i dident get is why did the hair styles lack so much.

i found styles on the lalafell and hume that i would have rather used for my miqot'e.

i can understand keeping them locked to help make it more unique only problem is your stopping the uniqueness when you not only lock the hair styles but the colours per faction as well.

we still have clones running amok often so mine dosent feel like its my own.

Really would like the chance to change my character, not the race but physical appearance would be nice. I think new hairstyles for new/old races was mentioned? If so my Miq'ote would love a new do!! PLEASE PLEASE bring in longer hairstyles this is probably hard to program but it would be so AWESOME!

With 2.0 I would love to have character creation process on my current character implented, so I can use new features, change gender (I might reconsider that with new genders added), and due that fact I might want to change name of character as well.

I think that with the launch of all the new features (new races, hair/face options, etc.) that we should get to do a complete change on at least one of our characters. As in, remake them completely including the name (providing the new name is available). That way we get to use all the new options without having to re-roll completely.

Just wanted to clarify just a tiny bit: The comment from Yoshida during the LIVE video was mainly geared toward being able to change gender, specifically. Not so much about being able to change race. He was talking about changing from a Roegadyn male to a Miqo'te male being relatively understandable ("hey you lost weight!") but that it might be shocking to go from Roegadyn male to a Lalafell female.

It was vague in our Twitter post about it, so I'm hoping to dispel the misinformation now.

Why would changing gender be more shocking than changing over to a whole different race? Can somebody please explain this to me? Both fall completely outside of in-game logic in the same way.

What Bayohne is asking/talking about now, is about changes being allowed AFTER our free "change everything about our characters"-ticket. He's asking if race/gender/name changes should be allowed after that. If people want to change again.

Perhaps I wouldn't have to explain this every page if people would read the thread. ^^;

This is why you should have our characters "die" during the Seventh Umbral Era and have us create "new" characters with the same stats and stuff. And have some sort of wall with the names of the people who "died" engraved on it, that would be awesome.

That would actually be pretty interesting. Where we'd all "die" and have the choice to reincarnate back as what we were or something different (of course keeping our levels, achievements, and items/gear like Yoshi promised). That way it would actually make in-game sense. It would also take away that odd concept that changing gender is any different than changing race.
