Hmm I wonder if it's because I'm on the EU datacentre too then that I hardly come across any problems... I mean I can only speak for my experience on my datacentre which is not an experience people on the NA one is describing.I don't know if it's just a coincidence but none of the posters you listed have their profile set to an EU server. Perhaps this is a bigger issue in NA? Personally I don't even remember the last time someone was performing so badly we couldn't complete the duty in DF content. That's why I find the suggestion in this thread totally unnecessary and bound to encourage competition instead of cooperation (think of tanks ignoring aggro and just doing dps or healers ignoring % mitigation so they get higher hps). You can have it on NA servers but I'd like it kept out of mine.
I'm on a NA server and I don't see this as being necessary honestly.
I've spent a lot of time in DF on all 3 roles due my leveling addiction and in my experience extremely bad play is the exception, not the norm.
For example I can only recall encountering one ice mage in this game. It was in Qarn normal about a year ago.
Bad runs do happen of course. When I was leveling WAR I got a group in the Aery where I had to help break Sable Prices because neither of the DPS could manage it if the other was trapped. But for the most part duties are completed smoothly. A slow run in a level cap dungeon can approach 25 minutes and honestly? I don't see that as something worth getting upset over. Certainly not worth splitting up the queues.

The discussion is not about people doing less than that 1800 DPS expample. The discussion is about people doing way less than the half of it. FYI: The half of 1800 is 900. That would be ok. But gimping around 100-600 is just bad, not even trying, AFK. People performing this bad are not respecting the other people in the party.

Finally someone undertsanding the point of this thread
I mainly included the statistics for EU because they were presented there with the A4S clears being almost left than half or a third of NA's and NA clears were half or less of JP. I don't have statistics for subscription segmentation wise but NA is bigger than JP population wise and Europe represents over 50 countries (In this game's case, Oceania is under EU too). It'll be interesting to see how many groups have cleared A8S when statistics become available.I don't know if it's just a coincidence but none of the posters you listed have their profile set to an EU server. EU has at least as many problems as NA, because there are tons of bad players, and there's also the language barrier so you can't even try to give advice to the French/Germans that queue on English.
The problem is that while this is a great theory, it will fail miserably once actual people start to get involved in it. Much like the theory that putting cutscenes into dungeons would be a good idea; once other humans get involved, you find yourself in a situation where people are getting called names and vote kicked in tantrum rages simply because it is their first time in a main story scenario. The discussion is not about people doing less than that 1800 DPS expample. While the INTENTION may be to weed out the ultra-bads (the ones doing less than 900DPS when they should be doing 1800), the truth is that there will always be the spoiled and socially-inept man children who will nerd-rage at anyone not doing 1600 or greater in their PUG. This sort of toxic behavior is useful to absolutely no one, and only serves to slow the run down even more than the lackluster damage dealer picking up that extra 200dps, since the group is stuck standing around waiting for the tantrum to end.
I, as the tank or healer (whichever I happen to be playing at the time), have very little patience for this sort of thing. I would rather deal with the extra 2 minutes that loss of DPS will bring my party in relative silence and enjoyment, than have to spend 5 minutes listening to someone relieve their personal insecurities on another player of the group, as I wonder why I started playing the game in the first place.
I do not, and never will, play a DPS class. I am always tank, or always healer. Yet despite this, part of the reason that I abandoned WoW was because of DPS meters and what the affect they had on my dungeon experiences.
Experience a run with an ice mage and a BRD without minuet, just auto attacking watching netflix.
Experience a run where you're top DPS as a healer.
Experience a run in a EU server ....
Im not bothering myself anymore with people who DON'T WANT to play the game.
Vote kick is the key.
