    didn't they just do a tech demo and then say that they had no official plans to support it?

    One can only hope.

    Now unless they pass this off to a completely diiferent team to develop, implement and have no detraction from XIV's budget - then it'll be nothing short of a detriment to development and ultimately a waste of time.

    But hey, that's just my thoughts.

    Yeah, there are no plans to officially support FF XIV with VR. They just did a very poor tech demo. This game isn't really suited to VR you can't really fight in first person.

    I would rather a game be built from scratch to make full use of the hardware, rather than patch in support for an existing game that will reduce it down to nothing more than a gimmick. Certainly, VR+MMO is an ideal match, but in this game which would hit you first; the nausea or the aoe?

    Officially they said they have no plans for FFXIV VR. They just demonstrated a tech demo of the Titan battle some time ago and that's all.
