Balcony Access!

Hi!
Just wondering if we will ever be able to go through the door to nowhere! all medium and large houses have a second floor...and the entryways, subsequently have a balcony off that second floor...and there is even a door there already!
I have been longing to go out and enjoy the air! and the view! ever since I entered my first house!!!
I am so hoping that SE will eventually see this as an added feature to our Eorzean homes! I really think it would be a plus even if they let us put outdoor funishings there-I can envision the new beach chair there to soak up the rays!

I would love this. I've often been at the Fc house and wanted to hangout on the balcony. It's been a mystery to me why they never allowed us access.

The reason it's a fake door now is probably because the inside of your house is technically a different 'zone' from the yard and the rest of the housing ward.

Basically it's not possible for you to seamlessly walk between your house and the balcony unless,

1. They put the balcony in the same 'inside' zone as your house and show you a fake garden and housing ward view. If you're standing there on the inside, someone out on your yard won't see you - and vice versa.
2. They put a portal there like your front door, using it teleports you outside onto the balcony.

#2 is probably the most likely solution since #1 is kind of silly. But it's just not possible to access it from the inside without a zone change, unless they totally change the way housing wards work.

I know, but they could just put an exit point there like they do with the front door. That shouldn't be that hard.

Or they could just put in some stairs outside.

There's a hack one of my neighbors showed me the other day on their medium. They had a stump stool placed in a certain spot on the side of the house. If you sit on it facing the house and hit jump without first standing it would launch you up on to the roof, which I assume at that point you could drop to the balcony. Yes it's a hack, but it beats ruining your yard just to make a jump puzzle to get to the balcony. Unless you are into jump puzzles at which point, knock yourself out.
