    Suggestions for Mid Gaming Video Card / Maybe a couple of higher ends if priced right

    I don't need some $600 video card but one that will keep the game running smoothly especially under population load. There's always going to be latency with higher population regardless but keep the game smooth without knocking down too many settings would be a bonus.
    Been looking at video cards but since I mainly play FFXIV just curious what people use.

    Just as a reference I'm using a gtx 760, I can't reach 60 fps at max settings, but I can play very smoothly at high settings in open world, 35-40fps in the crowd in Idyllshire

    I recently built a computer for my brother and installed http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814487091 GTX 960 2GB it runs 180 and he plays at max setting 60fps just fine.

    The Radeon RX 480 is currently sounding like an excellent budget card. $200 MSRP for a card with comparable performance to the GTX 970.

    If you don't mind waiting, I would wait for the GTX1060 to launch which should be soon before deciding just in case it shakes things up.

    There's some power draw at the slot drama going on with the 480 right now.

    I recently upgraded to this card, and I can confirm this. Max settings runs nice and smooth everywhere.
