Mob mounts. Do you want them? (Poll)

I think it would look silly to see people traveling around on Ahriman or Goobue mounts. I'd prefer to see Chocobos remain the standard and have special mounts available for Beastmaster. If a new area opens up, it could have it's own native mounts that are not chocobos. Imagine if Aht Urhgan had wivre mounts instead of chocobos. That would have been fine with me.

Honestly, after watching them, it didnt bother me as much as I thought it possibly could. Still a little weird but won't hurt me as long as chocobo gets a lot of attention.

(My way of saying; Final Fantasy has a few constants, but the rest changes. If I can riiide ze shoopuff in between chocobos and not have it break Final Fantasy, I think I should be able to ride my hard-earned drake and not have it break Final Fantasy.)

Regardless: The point is it's a limited-edition gift to us who stay for the whole transition. Not everyone will have one. Not everyone will have the same one. It won't be a permanent feature. It won't be Pokemon. Any other weird oppositions?

Shoopuf was for crossing deep waters in a world where colored Chocobos were not present. Drakes/Goobues/Ahriman are for... doing exactly what Chocobos do. Like I said previously, I'm not completely opposed to it, but Chocobos need to be much much more common than anything else.

I'm all for riding these mobs around cuz I loves me some variety. I just hope they implement more original mounts too (as in, not recycled from pre-existing enemies).

Oh, I agree with that. Don't mistake me for saying, "Hey, SE, go hog wild with the mount system!" -- chocobos need to stay on the throne. I simply think it's a profound gesture for SE to say, "Hey, thanks for having faith in us and investing money into our project after such hardship already harmed our business relationship." by breaking that chocobo tradition.

I sincerely hope that the rest of the game revolves entirely around chocobos and magitek machina ... but for this one time only exception, I think being battle hardened during the apocalypse earns us the right to tame some more badass beasts of burden.

Again, I just think it's very deep that they'd consider giving us this option, I'd accept it humbly. After accepting it humbly, I'd spend most of my 2015 running nilly willy through areas threatening to have my horselizard eat the bird-riders, sure, but that's irrelevant.

I do like mob mount, but should be only to a extend and they should not be something rare either, I dont want mob mount to be more popular than the tradition mount Chocobo
