    I get your ideals, they're just wrong for the game is all. Your desires clash directly with ours, and trying to create a method that figures both within the job mechanics itself will hamper the development of Dragoon as a whole.

    Put very bluntly, FFXI designs are problems for FFXIV, not solutions.

    There are just so many technical problems with trying to implement a Wyvern as something tied specifically to Dragoon that it's not worth the effort to do it that way - and we've already gone over them several times.

    However, your exact same desires could have the word "Wyvern" replaced with "Chocobo." So why not get your 'pet' desires from the same system and leave those who do not want a pet-oriented class. Otherwise, what you are asking for is a complete job overhaul at the expense of what it already has. I don't know about your DRG memories, but DRG for the majority of FFXI was laughed at. And a Wyven would die a lot more in this game than it did in FFXI.

    Sorry, but the "I want to be unique little Snowflake" argument can be met by further emphasis DRG's synergies with critical hits. I personally don't think 'pet' jobs will function the same way in this game as it did in FFXI, and probably to XIV's credit.

    I cannot say this any more firmly without being rude. This is not FFXI, this should not be FFXI. Trying to clone the wrong mechanics over will hurt the game in the end as it will narrow the Niche.

    And by the way, by all indications most people don't want a Wyvern pet, they want to be Kain.

    So no, the best way to have your cake and eat it too is to have a Wyvern on the same system as a Chocobo. Wyverns in FFXI were most effective as Solo/Lowman tools anyways, this would fit that bill and probably even give it more depth than it ever could tied to Dragoon proper.

    More options, for everyone, and no negative job impact.
