If someone can't figure out how to add wyvern dmg to thier parser they should not have written the parser in the first place but left it to people that know how. It's just parsing more text from the chatlogs(chatlog memory space). Not brain surgery.

I said it before drg in XI was only gimped because you had no control, let it AA what we have engaged but give us [PUP/SMN/BST] style control over it's abilities. Yeah they died super easy to AoE but w/ a 15min recast on "Call Wyvern" it's not that big a deal if/when they die. If your pets dying every 5 minutes you should NOT be playing a pet job (exception HNMs/Raids where you should have had the foresight to call it well before so recast yould be up anyway).

A pet only nerfs you if you don't know how to work w/ one.

WoW pet controls could be a pain same w/ SW:ToR but setting your "mode" to assist made them somewhat more functional as they only attacked things after you were engaged. Which is a little nicer than having to macro a pet attack [target] type thing which can be a bit of a pain, tho useful for crowd control. Oh right pets holding your adds? Yep that was super useful and the way some pet jobs work best.

What we've only had these "advanced" jobs/specializations for a month? Reworking it for V2.0 isn't that bad a thing.

Sorry to have used your post as my point maker Krono it was just so spot on to what I was saying, just the opposite side of the same coin. ^^

this is an old thread but while its here...

Ill bet when dragoons are lvl 75 or so they will get a WS to summon a dragon to the field that has some sort of fire breath or something, that's the kind of thing you have to wait for though.

I hope the cap isn't stuck @75 again for the longest time lol.. and then all the sudden raise it to 99? hope they go 99 right away, or raise it over time, but at a faster pace.

Your idea for the Wyvern WS is a good one btw

As for dmg nerf solution, when your wyvern is summoned it requires a bit of your lifeforce to keep it under control, thus your overall stats drop a bit, but overall the 2 of you are stronger than just yourself, when your wyvern isn't present your able to fight at your full strength losing the benifit of all of the wyvern's abilities but having your max stats in full effect.
If you want a pet you got it, If you don't your not gimped.
    Problem Solved.

I'd apoligize for a double post but the first one probably turned people off a bit ^^

Now to find a new sig generator I'm tired of seeing that beast ... found, and it's so clean

the dev's said there might be a pet for drg later on in the game. Just like FFXI DRG's didnt have a pet when they came out, by that time the dev's should have a gd way to add the pet which will make people who like the new class hopefully love it more * and the people who don't want a pet at least enjoy it.

Firsst of all, if you just wanted pet, BST or other class/job that are coming is going to fill that role. Leave DRG ALONE!

Wow I never expected soo many to get so emotionally attached to a job. I suppose that change is "bad" after all. Check my other posts though and see if there isn't something that could maybe make us both happy. ....

well you are new to the forums hehe, the DRG pet discussion gets rather heated, there have been multiple threads about it over the last year and a half and so far the overwhelming majority has been anti-pet as for the previous statement about every FF being different you are correct but you will notice trends with all of them you mentioned biggs, wedge, and cid but also jobs/class/roles have stayed pretty close throughout the series.
