Not really since good/bad/aspiring/lazy whatever tag you want to put on a healer all wear the same clothing, I am trying to help differentiate between them based on their actions and receptiveness.

I'm trying to enlighten the community, but in all honesty, it just seems like wasted energy on my part. This will be my last post in this thread and I wish everyone the best of luck.

I think it's gotten to the point where those that want to dps will and those that don't want to won't. I don't even know why this argument is still going. Both parties have said why they do/don't do dps and it doesn't seem like one side is convincing the other of anything.

Actually, Kait and I are trying to put our heads together for a peaceful resolution between two strongly opposed sides to the equation. The first 42 pages though are kind of in the wake of a giant S-storm. That forest done burned down xD

I feel like the reason why everyone should dps is not because it can help the party, but because of the animations.

Just look at it. Why would you not want to use Gravity if not just to stare at it?

I just have one more comment on this for the "What happens if I DPS and someone dies?"
I was reviewing some fflogs for some fight research, and came to the realization that if a Healer DPSs AND someone DIES it's STILL a net GAIN in DPS and duty clear than a zero DPS Healer.

For example if a Healer is doing 400 DPS for the whole dungeon, and a DPS is doing 800 DPS and the DPS dies, causing him to lose some DPS (50-100 DPS seems to be the operative amount over a fight per death) you're still up by 250-350 DPS. So seriously don't sweat letting people die in the beginning of learning. Unless you let a bunch of people die a bunch over a fight, it's still better.

Yup, just wanna add on that the only time it's a net loss in time spent is if you wipe, so play a little safer with the tank unless you're confident you can tank yourself.
