In all honesty, do you find Gold Saucer funny ?

I kind of pity the Gold Saucer visitors when the only thing to do there is to play cards and play boring games like "find the culprit, save my pet" (as fun as the butterfly hunt in FFX), I would never pay for such things LOL

So do you think it's okay as it is ? Do you like spending time there ?

Personally, it's not my cup of tea, it's kind of boring, there is not very interesting thing to do...
I would like more real attractions, like roller coaster. In FFVII there is the Speed Square where you can win one of the best weapon for Aerith, and you have to shoot targets, I think it was funny

Fun is a pretty good reward in itself, so either the games are fun or they lack good rewards.


Me personally? I spend as little time there as possible. I don't like how it looks, I don't like the music and only the GATEs are remotely interesting to me, which are once every 15 minutes only. I admit, though, I do sometimes do the old 1.0 gathering minigames for nostalgia sake >_>

Also, I like chocobo racing, I think it's fun, but there needs to be global queue among all servers. Maybe they could add two different queues, one where you'd get matched with NPCs only, and one that would get you matched with at least one player from any other server. That way, people that "only want to farm MGP" can go easy mode against NPCs and people who want to challenge other jockeys can do it too. Atm I'm completely isolated in R300 and I have MGP to buy 3 Fenrir horns, so I'm understandably not bothering much lately...
Oh and maybe leaderboards too, to spice things up.

The problem I see too is that all these minigames are tied exclusively to glamour, maybe if we could convert cards into stuff, even if it wasn't very relevant stuff but it was something... or they added more mounts to trade for MGP, and these mounts weren't untradable? I don't know why the obsession with keeping Gold Saucer out of any way to make gil. It's not like the economy of the servers isn't already destroyed and we don't have people with billions of gil owning 10 houses with 10 different alts...so what does it matter...

Turtle mount (I F dislike it but a lot of people do like it) bunny attire, 2 of them, gambler attire, hairstyles, dances, fenrir, more clothes, minions, etc etc, there are good prizes there.

And yeah as someone who farmed fenrir, I think its still fun, my favorite part is the chocobo races and some events.

The gates are hit and miss.
The dancing one is very boring, having to copy the emotes the npc does, takes a few minutes and is no chance of you failing.
The vase one, I follow the exact same path every single time to the three npcs.
Skinchange one I don't do, I can never really see the differences, normally just activate, pick any npc and see if it's right. Gets it over quickest.
I don't mind the one where the guy tries to blow you off the platform. It's pure RNG, but can be fun.
I don't mind the two where you have to jump up the platforms and avoid the bombs.

They could certainly do with coming up with something more creative. I had high hopes for Verminion, but that is just terrible. And obv the card tourney is STILL broken lol

I wish there were more variety much like how the the easter minigames were like.
