    Keep Deep Dungeons Relevant!

    It's a bit early to speak on exactly how well Deep Dungeons/PotD will be received, but assuming it's a success, would you consider more?

    We're finally getting to explore the giant hole in the ground in the South Shroud, and I can't begin to tell you how excited I am for it! But this isn't the only place of interest remaining unexplored around Eorzea! Perhaps upon the (assumed) success of the PotD, might you consider a Deep Dungeon: [Dalamud Fragment in Coerthas Central Highlands], or perhaps Deep Dungeon: [Ruins of Sil'dih]? Maybe even DD: The West Shroud?

    The idea and possibilities are exciting, and I'm simply hoping this won't be a one-off or worse, end up like the Diadem.

    I believe what may keep it relevant is it being an alternative to leveling other classes. Now yes, it has it's own leveling system but they also said some of the exp will count towards your class/job outside of the Deep Dungeon as well. Depending on how much (or little) that exp is, it could very easily keep people going there as an alternative means of leveling other classes. That alone can keep it relevant as another alternative to FATE/Dungeon grinding.

    Didn't they say they would add floors later? I'm 1000% sure they planned to keep it "relevant" in future patches.

    Having other Deep Dungeons would be good to provide a change of backdrop. each one with a higher base level requirement to get into it with a higher focus on party composition and possible floor mechanics or enemy mechanics.

    Could make a entry level 50 Deep Dungeon: A Realm Reborn Boss Rush (and a HW version) where on each floor you are facing off against copies of the dungeon/trial bosses. With the occasional storyline scenario boss (like Raubahn) making an appearance. Could be some Allagan Simulation Node that woke up with the crystal tower and had been scanning and cataloging all the events that have transpired and the people/beings involved.

    The particular problem with the diadem was the group requirement. The content itself was boring and poorly implemented, yes, but that was exacerbated by the group entry requirement since as fewer people queued for it the queues got longer and even fewer people bothered. Since the Deep Dungeon seems to be soloable to some extent I have a feeling it will maintain relevance even if the community largely rejects it.

    That's pretty much what I mean with low expectations.

    Frankly, I expect maybe 10-20 pre-set rooms to be randomly put together for the first 50-100 floors over and over so that after doing the first 10 floors, you constantly get the feeling you've been here before. The early stages of Warframe were a lot like that, like a permanent deja vu. I expect traps to be very obvious and easily circumvented after seeing them once, I expect mobs to be not much different than your average open world mob except with alternating skins and I expect the progression to be based on luck with random chest pops, making it either a cakewalk or impossible depending on what you find (or what you bring with you).
