What's the best EU server to join?

Im currently on NA server and was wondering what is the best server in EU raiding wise/casual wise? On NA servers, i couldnt agree with the extremely late times so it starts to affect my raiding due to having work/education starting in a couple of months. Would be good to move to a server of my timezone if i decide to raid for certain. For some of you in EU servers, i would to love to hear your opinions about your servers!

If you like a high population with alot of raiding, then Ragnarok is a good pick. I do think its better to create a character on all servers and spend few hours/day exploring them.

As long as you stay away from Limsa (all the crazy people meet there) Ragnarok is great.

The community is big, has everything from German, French to Russians and the people who speak numbers... Arabas. (I am Czech ftw)

And it also being a legacy server makes it the choice that stands out from the other servers.

The market is usually filled with stuff, so almost everything (except some rare items) can be bought there. The crafters are spamming PF so the rest should be easy to get there, many, many, players are crafting here so it should not be a problem to find someone who can do all the items you could ever want.

Just don't expect to buy a house, big population means it's bloodbath to get one even with the new wards.

Party Finder is actively... shitty. ^^ There are groups to farm extreme primals, Nidhogg Ex so far has all the stages of training in it, even some savage can be done in PF - clearing the content not guaranteed. As it is on most servers there are many players seeking carry, skipping training and overall ruining groups 24/7, tho I do not expect you can get away from this.

RP wise, there is not much RP going. There are some RP players but the population is not big, tho I saw some of them yeterday in Gridania (much better place than Limsa). Good luck with your choice.

If you don't yet have a static, I suggest you check out the recruitment subreddit. I've seen more than a few advertisements for unique raid hours. That way you might find a group that works for you before transferring.

Shiva is mostly German population
Moogle mostly French population
Lich, Zodiark I heard are calmer servers
Cerberus pretty active with a smaller raidscene (we have multiple teams with A8S down so guess it's OK) but never dead. We have a mix of English, German, French, Russian mainly and a lot of others as well. Can give more info on Cerby if you want - just ask.

I don't think there is a "best" server as it is... just find your own
