What boss/dungeon mechanics would you like to see ingame?

Was talking to a friend about how lalafells have a problem with target selection and PVP terrain obstacles and thought about how PVE would be way more fun with terrain mechanics.

    Example:
A boss would be set in a hedge maze like layout and the party will have to look for the boss and adds. The tank will tank the boss and the party has to kite adds and go to each corner of the maze to destroy the maze or something and continue to phase 2.

I love hiding behind walls and shooting at things

I would like to see a boss that gains in strength/mechanics based on how many key rooms in the dungeon were left unclear, there were no gates throughout the dungeon to force a specific route, and that the route to the boss was short and already open. Further, the boss chests at the end offer more loot options based on how many rooms were left uncleared. With an achievement for beating the boss with all key rooms left uncleared.

Made a thread with the idea, even asked for others to share their ideas for dungeons/mechanics though no one ever replied to it.

What i dont want as a in game boss mechanic is the idea of destroying a set items to survive the blast ie ilfrits nails. tired of the mechanic. what i do want is akin to monster hunters Jhen morhan fight. phase one is similiar to bis fight minus the adds. boss is right next to you and you have to fight him as your going along the terrain be it sky sea or land. destroy the parts to weaken him NOT TO SURVIVE THE BLAST. then phase 2 we go into a last stand type thing where the boss fights you but also doesnt give a f akin to steps. yea sure it sounds like steps i know but if done right it can def be cool but thats just my idea.

Like the Monk Job quest lv60! That was awesome!
You have to get a certain boost so you do 10x more damage as usual, cause that boss was so damn powerfull!
Also it was needed to beat all those nonstop coming adds attking your befriended NPCs! O:

Or how about this: (I just had this idea)

Schoolars Fairys Eos and Selene want some "fun"!
Boss fight: Battle Arena turns complete in dark due Bad Selenes'. Very small view and Some traps everywhere.
Also: that means: cant target the boss, nor can see the whole arena, just 1-2yards :P

Tank have to keep boss his attention! And prevent party gets hit by boss AoE that gives negativ status: Fear! (Tank is imun)
4-6 friendly Eos's appear around the arena. You can see there glowing everywhere! But look out for traps! They are hurting and makes you slow (Weight, Paralyze) :P
DPS's and/Or healer have to negotiate with all Eos's so they bring the light back for a certain amount of time ->
Boss is weakend and can be attacked by party, but that monster is a being living in the dark, so its blinded -> Cant atk the party!
But those mean Selene's(not targetable!) will atk party instead and giving annoying negative status'! ;o

And so on: Light turns out and the mechanic starts from new!
Untill... Boss have 25% HP left and starting to get desperate and angry... Arena is getting dark again.
But no Eos's appears this time though. Because Selenes captured them! :P
Meanwhile... The Boss turns into a bright glowing red monster and gets damage/defence/speed boost and is rampaging! ->
    But party can atk him!

I have tons of ideas! @.@ ...to bad I dont work for this game )=

Lb 4 for healers "auto life".
A boss fight where everybody dies if lb 4 gauge hasnt filled up Yet for healers. And you have to actually Do something to fill up the last lb4 cuse it has to require something. Like leviathan debuff on healers it is interesting and makes u not spam alot of heals. So if 1 healer
get 10 stack u loose the lb4. It all should depending on the situation and make it harder for healers to heal and tank and dps to survive.

I'd love to see a boss damaging/danger mechanic that isn't solely dependent the usual schtick of "avoid the marked aoe locations". While I understand the urgency to nail this into the player's mind that these are danger zones, and they'd do better in the game to avoid them, it's a draw back to see that it's so much a point needing to be made, it's almost always the primary mechanic in any given fight. I rarely ever see them try to stray out of this, with the exception of raids.

Hm maybe something like Hodir from WoW where there are different buffs that you can collect/share with allies that greatly increase your stats, for example, one that increases DET, one that increases Skill/Spell Speed, one that increases CRIT, and the only way to beat the DPS check is to stack those buffs (but obviously with some boss mechanics that make stacking buffs difficult).

One that inverts all the partys actions. Healing moves would do damage and offensive moves would heal.
Boss would do massive damage, the DPS would have to heal the party and the healers would have to do X amount of damage to the boss (using healing spells) for the debuff to be canceled.

huh? don't we already have something like this with the Elemental Conversion meter in Leviathan? it would just be more specific what makes that meter go up/down.
