Problem with BLM Job Quest

Hi Guys,

this might just be stupid of me, but I am level 52, and lst job quest I done was Bet on Black or something.
I've went to continue, and it advises me on wiki to go to Steps of Thal x12,y13 and Lalai will have another quest.

However when I get there, there is no quest marker for Lalai, no quest mark at Kazagg under the waterfall, nd nothing in the THMs Guild.

can anyone offer some advice, I don't have a job quest in my journal either.

Could it be you haven't completed the MSQ quest, "Before the Dawn"?

You do have to have reached the Ishgard/HW part of the MSQ, just being level 52 isnt enough. So that might be it. Otherwise i dont really have a good guess.

I am thinking you must not have completed something that is why Lalai does not have a quest marker. Also previous poster is correct as well about Main Story content, you have to have been caught up i believe

The others are probably spot on - you must complete the main story quest to the point where you actually enter Ishgard. Until then you won't be able to do any 51+ sidequests or class quests.
