Hi, Sephrick! Not here to troll you, but I think the bulk of the shit you're catching on this topic relates to you saying that you feel the latest live letter was a "fail", which while I understand where you see that and somewhat agree, I wouldn't have used such a hostile word for it, personally. In the future, I feel that the live letters either need to be scrapped if they come out the way that they did for this one, because, like you, I feel that the intent of the live letters needs to address your concerns with 1.20-1.23 and NOT the 2.0 and beyond content. I have every intention of subscribing once they implement a secure method of doing so (as C&B is not secure, IMO), even if they really aren't focusing on 1.20 players as, for the most part, I am still having fun.

One comment that I have a particular disagreement with you on is your response to one of the "answers" provided in regards to Auction Houses follows below...

"What Action House "features" are coming prior to 2.0 and how will the affect the current ward system?

An AH is coming, well probably buying from the item search, so they will be the same system
Obviously. But what "AH" features are coming? Is a price history the extent of it, or will be be able to buy/sell from the search menu. If so, why are they even keeping the wards? Nix them, make it an AH and free up some server space by getting rid of a few thousand NPCs per server."

Your proposed system, in my opinion, is the right intent, but I feel the wards themselves should NOT go away when you go to AH. The need for hundreds to thousands of NPCs will, hopefully, soon be eliminated, but the wards do one good thing for the servers, IMO; they cut down the lag in town when you're searching for an item on the AH. The wards were intended to reduce lag on the severs on town because they could be instanced, or at least didn't require the development teams to change their design to make the game run effectively with a decent amount of rendering characters and spaces with minimal lag. Admittedly, it hasn't worked as intended, but the proposed changes to the servers in 2.0 seem to further validate the use of the wards being a separate zone than the individual cities. Now, that may open up the concept of having the AH zone being one zone across all cities on the server, or even across servers (potentially, albeit unlikely), but that has its own issues to consider, including the severe unbalancing impact that will make to certain economies...

Finally, to all the people that disagree with Sephrick, if you disagree, you don't have to comment on his post; it'll go away much more quickly if you IGNORE the comments you don't like rather than treating him like he's stupid. He's posted what I feel is a valid set of questions, even if they potentially spoiling the upcoming plans, his questions, and many of the answers people have replied with still suggest that there is work to be done at least in saying something to the effect that work has and will continue to be done to address your concerns.
