I want to duel wield a lalafell drk and a lalafell pld.
Or play a mnk and use two lalafell mnks as fist weapons!

MNK has 2 weapons...

Yang from FF4 used two different claws a lot. Well, a lot of the time that he was even around, which wsan't much.

It doesn't matter that you're only using 1 item slot, the class itself is using two weapons, all attacks are using both weapons, so for all intents and purposes it's dual wield, unlike DRG or WAR who attack using a single weapon.
So, dual wiled when? Whenever you decide to play NIN, MNK or PLD.
Ninja relics are not daggers and neither are the cleaver type weapons from most trials.
Ninja/Rogue weaponskills are almost all slashing type abilities which are not primarily meant for daggers either.
there's like a 5% chance we're going to get any other type of dual-wielding.
Raubahn has show the ability to wield two swords at once, dual wielding, and as far as we know he is some form of Gladiator. So Lorewise, Gladiator should be able to gain a dual wield skill. Personally I'd be OK with this, but would like to see a new job based on Gladiator, but not a tank as such and kind of the opposite to the PLD. I'm thinking more in the direction of a more lightly armored Gladiator with defense approximately equivalent to a Dragoon, but wielding two swords instead of a sword and shield. Not sure what it should be called, but Lore-wise We should be able to branch this off of Gladiator and use Raubhan's history as a backdrop to the job quests.
Back in the 80's there was a TV version of Robin Hood, called Robin of Sherwood. It was a British show, I'm not sure if it was ever seen in the US. There was a character in that called Nasir, who was supposed to be a Saracen assasin. His standard weapon was dual wielded curved short swords, kind if like a rapier but with more curve.
So, perhaps we could have a Saracen 'job' which is a DPS branch of Gladiator that uses two swords, smaller than those used by PLD/GLA, but definitely swords not daggers. Curved blades would look great with this too.
Here is a picture of Nasir in action;
And with the swords sheathed on his back;
And this is a better picture to see the actual blades;
and with scimitars;
and another 'action' image';

almost looks like Bruce Campbell
and yeah: gearing and balancing 2 weapon slots for 1 job just doesn't work. They've already changed PLD tome weapons to reflect this and I bet if they could do it all over they'd make those weapon+shields 1 item too. (Too late to do it at this point; ppl would complain about their favorite shield size not being available etc)

I mean come on guys and gals, we all know dep down we want to be that badass warrior charging in with two axes/swords into the battle.While sure we may have to do a little extra for it but in the end itll all work out cause the RNG gods are never on our side =D

Lmao, not really, personally I think dual wielding is just too edgy for my tastes and for me the bare minimum would be a weapons with a very short offhand weapon. This is probably the most practical sense of dual-wielding and wasn't mainstream due to the fact training a soldier to carry two weapons is harder than a specialized soldier carrying one. I think think if there would be such a mechanic, the offhand weapon should be used defensively like a shield, but designed for parrying. Give them abilities that increase parry damage reduction, a ability that increases parry chance, and allow them to get a damage boost after a successful parry, all of this within a times window. Would be a pretty interesting tank, definitely one wit a high skill ceiling.
Who knows maybe this is what they have in mind for the next samurai class, after all probably the most famous swordsman in Japanese history is Musahsi Miyamoto
