Dual wield when?

Never. There is no such thing as "proper" dual wielding. If you look historically - back when they actually used swords, axes, etc. to fight - nobody ever[*] used two weapons at once. When possible weapon+shield or (rarely) a 2h-weapon was much preferred.


[*] There is actually one well-known exception. The use of rapier+dagger was not uncommon during the renaissance, but that is just about the only historically documented occurence of using two weapons at once.

IMO the whole weapon restiction is a bit weird. Ninja never used dagger in any FF as far as I know but since they are based out of rogues I guess thats why.

We can't have this with the way they handle all weapons ingame and how often we get weapons. I mean all weapons are exactly the same they just look different. DO you really want to hear the cries and complaints from people who have to farm 2 weapons just because they dual wield? I don't....

PS. I would love a proper dual wield system for anyone that uses 2 weapons but I doubt we will get it but heres to hoping!

But yeah the most used weapon-style of all time is probably the spear+shield.

Yeah cuz youtube is true.

For many reason duel weild was never used and the major one is that peeple are too tight in a battlefield to use them. Poeple often had no idea who they killed with their weapon.

I don't mean it was never used by anyone. Of course assassin used dual kama in asia. But Dual weild is really a minority in real life compared to what you see in MMO.

I mean you could argue that "forks" were used as weapon, its probably even more popular then any kind of dual weilding ever been.

1 weapon for both hans > 2 weapons :

why i need to farm this trial twice? while others get the drop once and are done? D: UNFAIR !

or the other side he can get the main hand (all dmg is based around that) for way less tomes than others! unfair!
