Everyone has p.much covered things but specifically on the transitioning MRD/WAR is better to go from into DRK primarly because of how their skill combo's work

both WAR and DRK start all combo's from 1 move which then branches into 2 options, one purely for agro/threat, the other for more utility or dps based direction
the dps direction then splits AGAIN into 2 paths, 1 is utility, the other is healing
While the exact effects obviously dont match, the core outline and framework does.

Butchers Block combo = Power Slash combo
Storms Path combo = Souleater combo
Storms Eye combo = Delirium combo

You even learn them at the same levels.

As a matter of fact, I notice that I play better than 90% of the Drks in DF and some of them have other tanks at 60 and Drk is my only 60 tank. Don't let elitist trolls discourage you.

Awareness is not required. It can help mostly for my Warrior but I've never been in a situation where I thought "wow, I'm glad I had that!"
Given that you are a healer main(well, at least last time I checked...), it's understandable that you've missed the previous points in the endgame where a Tank has to face an enemy that crits 100% or nearly 100% of the time. Back in 2.X there was an add in T11 that had a 100% crit rate and Shiva EX buffed her crit rate when wielding a bow. M1S currently has an add with a 100% crit rate as well. I dunno about stuff after this, as I entered this raid tier a few months late XD

This doesn't even include the auxiliary utility of combining Awareness with abilities that increase Block/Parry. A Crit cannot be blocked or parried so keeping them away ensures that they're able to proc! This of course, as the RNGish elements of Tanking tend to do, especially shines in large pulls.

It's true that Awareness usually isn't a "mwahaha I now take no damage!" cooldown, but it does provide some peace of mind. Even when it isn't a special situation, steadying the rate of incoming damage is legitimately useful.

Where did you check that I was a healer main? I just stated that I've never been in a situation where I thought "i'm glad I had that!" with Awareness. The only skill that I feel gives me peace of mind is Shadow Wall. The others are used so often, they're like second nature.

;o I'm personally happy every time I use awareness, more so when paired with Dark Dance, since Crit's can't be parried or blocked. Thus potentially lowering the chance to proct reprisal and low blow.

The "Main Class" in your forum avatar wasn't always Dark Knight...

Sure, let's just get even more off topic by being unnecessarily difficult. And you wonder why people have been so judgmental toward you.

    ------------

Ignore the things, OP. I'm sure you can look between the dumb to help you decide whether or not you believe it to be worth taking Paladin to 34 to nab Awareness.

Why do you think I'm being difficult? You mentioned I was a healer main. I just asked where you got that idea from.

And you wonder why people have been so judgmental toward you.
    No, not really.
