Are scepters ever going to make a comeback or are they being given to the next C Dps?

I hating seeing perfect nice weapons being thrown to the side, because of its twin brother. Are they going to do something with them?

Yoshi mentioned in a previous live letter that 1h whm/blm weapons are a relic from 1.0, and that they plan to no longer add anymore.

Possible they may be brought back if a new job uses them, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

They are phasing them out, getting rid of them. He should flat out say that too. That's what happens when you tie a class/job to one weapon type. Oh how I long for the days of multiple weapon proficiency. Mages generally got main magic weapon and a dagger, or even 2 rods but here outside of DoL/DoH/PLD we have no offhand weapons.

Can't even mix and match with MNK/NIN.

Red Mages are known for Swords, shields, sorcery, and generally had proficiency with a ton of weapons.
