    I want the elemental wheel back in the game that we had since 1.0 and in 1.x, I had 0 issues with fights, never class stacked...defeated every fight in the game easily with one of each job. I don't even know why you bother replying to me, Yoshida and gang will never put it in. Too many ~balance issues~ because yanno..the game totally doesn't have them already. And seeing as how it worked perfectly fine in 1.x, it could never EVER work again...lol..

    So is moot lol.

    Ok so, I don't even know what a magic missile is nor care. Elemental wheel adds so much more then just "pick one spell and spam it" if that is what you are trying to say. it adds potency, resistance, it allows people to build gear sets to defend against certain elements in different fights. It gives us a reason to collect more gear besides glamour.

    Man..I typed up a lot more but the browser closed...whatever I don't care. They won't add it anyway lol....and some people will complain about having to use strategy beyond team jump rope..w/e.

    You know they don't care about elemental resistance when they plop elemental materia in as turn in items for a relic step that will be obsolete by 3.4 in a half hearted effort to make them worth something.

    Should elemental wheel make black mage more powerful than it is now?

    If BLM power levels stay the same then elemental wheel would be like complicating its rotation for no gain ( kind of like the two dragoon skills in heavensward.) On the other hand, we're at a point now where people will take a BLM or SMN to content without a hitch, so if the wheel buffed BLM then it would be another imbalance to deal with.

    Back when I played phantasy star and phantasy star universe, all the mobs have a weakness and resistance chart that could utilized by your characters regardless if they were HUnter, RAnger or FOrce (Melee, Ranged or Spell casters in that games language.) Since Melee had elemental blades, Ranged had elemental bullets and forces had elemental spells., we got our fun elements while maintaining balance.

    This game has elemental weapons so I think the system would work here.

    Having played Ragnarok Online rather extensively (both vanilla and Renewal), I'm of the opinion that elemental resistances are just a pain to deal with. The resistance chart in FFXIV's character screen is a leftover from 1.0 and they will not do anything with it. Changing the way resistances work now, after three years, would do nothing but confuse and agitate players. BLMs would either be extremely powerful or very useless, depending on how their "new" rotations would work.

    Well, you can turn in your RPG player card if you don't know what Magic missile is.

    Apparently you do not understand my facetious comment. So I'll put it simply. Looking up what spell to use then using that spell to make the most numbers on your magic moving picture box is not "deep" or complex". Especially in an age where you can look up everything. Never class stacked in 1.0? Garuda says hi.

    Still waiting for you to prove me wrong, but I get the feeling I'm wasting my typeywords. Which brings me to...

    Thing about FFXI BLM compared to XIV is that XI BLM felt powerful. You had to hold back your awesome or else you would rip hate from the tank and die. Which also gave you that feeling of vulnerability. Tanks in XIV never lose hate and BLM's spell damage is nothing spectacular. While the place you hold in both games is reversed, in XI your just an adventurer, in XIV your the uber savior of the world.

    Yeah, I wish BLM had more spells than just lightning (dot) Ice to replenish mp and Fire as the main attack. Visually, I feel it lacking and BLM has always been a very flashy job. Now, not so much.

    I kinda want a stance that will change the look/ abilities of each spells.

    Ex. Astral Stance will be what we have now. Umbral stance will be something different, maybe similar to the "dark" fire/ice spells npcs use against us?

    Uh. There's a reason Black Mages cross class Quelling strikes. It's because they put out literally the most single target DPS in a lot of instances and can quite easily draw a lot of enmity. Check FFLogs or just about any thread on Black Mage rotations. Your statement is based on feeling and then you depreciate into a completely inaccurate statement. Please fact check.

    Or maybe it is because Blm lack any good cross class skill options. Virus? Eye for an Eye? Physick? Ruin? All completely irrelevent to BLM. I've yet to see a blm ever rip hate, i have yet to ever rip hate. Note that i'm only level 52 so maybe i'll change my mind by 60.
