Well to be fair, the spell usage in 3.0 has gotten better. It definitely feels better using Fire IV and Blizzard IV instead of tier 1 magic. Here is alot of hope that 4.0 will have BLM use different high tier magic more. While a glamour system sounds cool, it would ultimately not satisfy me. I don't want to keep casting a single type of magic (ie ice or fire) I want it all mixed up and constantly switching around. That's what I had hoped before starting ARR and Fire mage is what we got. It's still a god damn shame what happened to Freeze.

1.xx seemed to have alot more job depth which I actually hoped would carry over but it definitely did not. But then again I was pro 1.23-combat style and anti 2.0 GCD style.
