    Purchasing Ventures with GC Seals & Centurio Seals

    Afternoon Everyone.

    Went to buy some ventures at my Grand Company & discovered that 200 GC seals will get me 1 venture. At this point of the game, I think that's too HIGH! Especially when your retainers can use them once every 18 hours. I wonder would the DEV team ever lower the amount.

    I guess I feel this way because I have 4 retainers.

    In the Foundation, 20 Centurio seals will get me 5 ventures which is a little more reasonable.

    Hope the DEVs decided to lower the amount of GC seals to purchase ventures

    It costs me 16 tokens per hour for quick ventures across my two characters and both characters have 4 retainers each. It is possible to rent more retainers from mogstation pushing each character up to 8 retainers each and then would cost me 32 venture tokens per hour. I have so many other things to do when log in, I simply do not have time to keep my venture token count up anymore. From beast tribe dailies, DoW/DoM daily roulette's, MGP farming, DoL/DoH scrip farming, gardening and airship crafting plus actually leveling and gearing up both characters across all DoH classes on both and all DoL classes on both. I just don't have the time anymore to be worrying about GC seal farming. If have only one character and only two basic retainers then I do not think it is expensive but if have 8-16 across two characters and try to fund them all on quick ventures every hour then yes it is too expensive.

    Just greed on the drops from your roulettes and turn them in for seals. That should keep you with ventures for a while.

    The roulette's generally take around 20-30 minutes each for most runs, in that time I rarely win any of the gear because I am using it for GC seals so I only use greed. That way people who actually need it will get them. A lot of the time the gear that do get is only worth 200-650 GC seals and by time I come out of the second roulette after 40-60 minutes my retainers will be back and wanting another 16 tokens. If I ran dungeons 24/7 and win all the gear from them I could afford to keep sending my retainers out but I cannot.

    I cannot afford to spend the amount of time required to fund them when have so much else need to do and like I said if just have one character with the basic 2 retainers get for free then I see no problem at all with it...in my case though I have two characters and each have 4 retainers so in my situation yes it does become too expensive to fund them.

    I am not gonna cry over it though, I am just saying it is too expensive for me personally to try and find the time to farm enough seals for venture tokens in order to keep all my 8 retainers going out on quick ventures every hour. I also need to use most of the GC seals on airships and crafting materials too. If anything I think SE should lower the cost of crafting materials using GC seals because most of the time I seem to need 81+ of them at 200 seals each or around 20 to 40 of them at 1500 seals each. I can't keep up with it anymore so my 8 retainers if lucky might go out once a day for an hour, twice a day at most then sit there doing nothing for the remaining 22-23 hours.

    Eh, I think it's about right. Didn't they used to cost more? I'll tell you one thing, while farming for the Relic crystals doing all those fates I probably had about a dozen stacks of ventures because I had nothing else worth while to spend them on. Now I keep a decent flow going in relation to my play time but you also have to remember that a lot of those ventures are just netting you things you would otherwise have to go gather yourself. I don't think SE is going to make that any easier. This is an MMO after all, and the real currency is your time.

    Gear from Hullbreaker Hard/Sohr Khai give 1180 seals each. Should be enough if you run those dungeons a lot.

    Your four retainer situation requires four Venture tokens per day. A single dungeon drop from an Expert Roulette trades for 1180 Seals. That's nearly five Ventures for a single drop. Sometimes 20 Ventures in a single run. If you are running out of Ventures then you simply aren't trying to obtain them. [Edit: Defeated by Tankhunter ^]

    It would take a total of 76,800 seals to send my retainers out every hour for a 24 hour period on quick ventures which is the only venture type that I use since mine are all pretty much leveled already so exploration is pointless to me and all generic farming items (branches and ores etc) I gather myself rather than through my retainers. A quick venture costs 2 tokens per retainer per hour x 8 retainers equals 16 tokens per hour (3200 seals every hour). Even if run 2 dungeons at 30 mins per run, assuming only run the highest tier dungeons with best gear drops worth the most seals I would need to win the loot roll on at least 2 items per run and I would have to run those and win that amount non-stop to fund all my retainers every hour.

    TC is sending them out every 18 hours. An easily obtainable daily GC seal amount.

    The cost of ventures isn't balanced around players with multiple characters running with more than the normal amount of retainers (2)

    If you want to run quick ventures on more than 2 retainers, on more than 1 character, you'll have to deal with the fact that you'll need more seals than the average player.
