Players Who Don't pull their weight.

I'm a Tank and I play my role at 110% I do roulette's mentor roulette's trials and have cleared my end game content. However I've been coming across a huge issue in the game that can't be addressed in any way.

It revolves around players who barely play their class to any form of potential refusing to take advice and forcing the community to carry them through Duty Finder dungeons. This is extremely apparent in some 4-man and especially in 24-man content. Now not everyone plays to the maximum potential, some don't have the mental capacity/motor-skills or reflexes to mange all their dots, skills and abilities. Some is gear but its a small majority. I see it often where a player who thinks they can get away with a carry will.

I've attempted to tell people to pick it up when I know things should be going different or skill that should be on the boss aren't. I know when a healer is neglecting their role. I know when a Tank ends up screwing up. The issue comes when its a persitant thing. There is no way to punish players for their poor play-style, vote-kick doesnt work cause they can just re-enter without penalty or they are with friends who have similar mindsets or dont mind carrying. Where as someone who leves the instance due to not wanting to carry poor players is given a penalty.

I hate carrying people who won't preform. It seems unfair to myself and everyone else who puts the effort to maximize their play time by carrying someone who refuses to put in the effort to be penalized for it. It's even ahrder to pinpoint if DPS are really bad, botting or just not carrying other than to see how fast something should be dying. A system needs to be in place that penalizes poor play despite how damning it would be to some players. Agree if you want or not but I know their are many who have been in a group where that one or two players just aren't doing what is needed and then punished for it.

Lets ignore the run with friends arguement, as it stands your friends are always available. Times do not always match up. We have lives and dont always have the ability to play together.

Just let it roll off your back. You might perceive laziness or negligence, but the truth is that you don't know what's actually happening on the other side of their keyboard.

It's enough that you take your own role seriously; this is a positive trait that will always work in your favor. However, it's just not worth getting bent out of shape because someone else is dragging their feet. You can't control it, so just go zen mode. Not every dungeon run is perfect, nor does it need to be.

Clearly that's what a limit break means.

Honestly though, the more people put their foot down the better. Vote kick people who aren't contributing and refuse to listen. I'd personally rather wait a bit for someone who tries than enable people to get carried. And the more it becomes the culture to not carry belligerent non-contributors, the more people will think about it before entering df with that mindset.

Also gotta push SE to lower the 4-hour limit on vote kicks. It's a ridiculous limit now considering it was implemented when there were only 2 or 3 roulettes. Now we have double that, and then things that more frequently require kicks like the 24-man raids. Lowering the wait time between vote kicks to 2 hours shouldn't be a problem. Considering you can be reported for kicking without reason there shouldn't even be a limit, but I understand there being some amount. Just 4 hours is far beyond what it should be.

Giving 100% is using all of your skills to their maximum effect. Putting balance on a healer instead of one of the dps is only 80-85% at best.
