So what happen if you meet a dragon smaping chaos trust and despite you are being nice, he will just bring all that drama of " I pay my sub".
What would you do?
In your case, the player was not intentionally doing it to spite you if the AST spoke up.
For example, for someone else. Me preferring not to dps in cleric stance and just continuing to heal: It could be viewed to someone else as "purposefully" playing my job wrong.
Should I be vote kicked for that? Am I purposefully harassing another player for not dpsing in cleric stance?
If they were a tank or healer without the basic of their class, with no response when asked, i'm pretty sure not many will have 2nd thought before clicking the vote kick button. So, why it's be a different in this case, just because the healer/tank and the other dps can carry the last dps? It's a low level dungeon so it might not be that much serious, but think about the case it is a much harder dungeon (eg. Vault, Aurum Vale, etc.), one dps like that would cause wipe after wipe. I would really consider vote kick:
And yes they are legal reason for a vote kick.
Larkspur, there's some difference between my example and yours. The blm was level 50, had 15 arc to unlock blm, and had leveled acn as well, if the black mage was truly new as the ast claimed, they were using some other persons account. Also as I said, they were not even trying to communicate back, their performance was intentional. In your example, you are a healer, your main job as a healer is to heal and keep everyone alive, which you're doing, while the blm wasn't properly doing their job. To me a healer going into cleric stance between heals is a nice bonus, but is not your main job. A better example would probably be something like Nidhogg normal where all the healers would do is heal the tank while letting the dps die to unavoidable damage.
The bad player skill issue was solved with Stone, Sky, Sea, but then Yoshi-P had the amazing idea of making it optional, which defeated the purpose entirely. I used to be a mentor, but I ended up getting rid of that title since I simply gave up trying to be nice. The amount of dumb that is unwilling to listen or compromise in the game these days is almost depressing, and my rule is very simply not to deal with it anymore. After all, I have things like Overwatch and even house chores to fill the 30 minute penalty time limit.
What defines a player "not pulling their weight" in my eyes? I follow a simple flow chart in any DF dungeon post Brayflox Easy Mode:
> Does the player have their job unlocked? If no, leave immediately.
> If yes, are any of the players in my duty wearing stupid gear? As in VIT on a BLM? STR on a BRD? If yes, leave immediately. This doesn't include low iLvl weapons (though I would question your priorities if you have a 200 weapon and full 220 gear) like that complete douchebag did a few pages back. If you have relevant stats and meet the iLevel requirement, awesome.
> Next, are the DPS players using basic rotations in the first few fights? If so, great! Are they doing stupid things? This can be anything from using Transpose to get into Umbral Ice, not using Blood of the Dragon, not using Darkside or using Tornado Kick every time you get to GL3. If yes, I'm walking back to the start and leaving.
> Are the DPS using AOE rotations when speed pulls are being made? If no, you get a slap but that's not necessarily a dealbreaker if you're decent single target.
> Next, is the healer literally jumping around our of boredom since the tank is taking no damage? If yes, then as the tank I will establish hate and then switch to DPS stance. As a DPS I will intentionally eat the occasional AOE that isn't lethal in order to maximize my own DPS. If the healer has an issue, then I'm gone.
> If no, do we wipe more than 3 times to any single mechanic? If yes, bye!
I think you guys get the idea.

You're good at the game? You're an elitist.
You're using a parser to better yourself? Elitist.
You're making suggestions on how someone can improve themselves? E l i t i s t.
You wipe a farm party constantly but you're having fun playing your way. Nah you're fine dude.
This community astounds me at times.
But he's not refusing to fulfill his role. Just not doing to someone's standards isn't a valid reason to kick as I see it.If they were a tank or healer without the basic of their class, with no response when asked, i'm pretty sure not many will have 2nd thought before clicking the vote kick button. It's going both ways apparently with the majority in the group being able to decide.
