This is the single most absurd statement that anyone could let slip from their fingers onto a keyboard. So people who get gear with currency earned from completing dungeons are somehow below average players compared to raiders? Please get over yourselves with that nonsense.

Actually, I think if you think about it he was probably saying that it's a cesspool due to underachieving (Players who don't give it their all and not underachieving in the sense of obtaining gear because he mentioned gear afterwards which would be a redundancy) players who only have decent gear due to token systems, and not about raiding gear. That's just how I interpreted it though.
