    Multiple Interface Suggestions...?

I had a bunch of things saved up to suggest... Yes, I am a newb, this list was compiled over the course of playing since November, and are things that I never quite got used to... I'm sure some of these have been suggested before, but here goes...

    • PLEASE mail me things that I couldn't receive due to full bags.... Or at least give me the option to throw something away, choose which items I want to receive, and/or choose whether I WANT the random item in the first place, if my bags are going to be full when receiving random stuff and/or generates that 3 slots left error...
Micromanaging bags because the game decided to give me 2 bat fangs, a shriekshroom, and several other useless things when I wasn't looking just isn't fun... Neither is missing out on cards, farthings, and other useful things which are just automagically dumped into your bags at the end of a run...

It's great not having to "loot" enemies. But at the cost of LOSING loot? For me, no thanks! >.<

    • It would be very helpful to have item amounts & locations directly in the tooltip...
These locations include items being sold on the MB and are in the FC chest. (Even if it cannot keep up with what is actually there, only what WAS there at the last time you looked - just as the website does for the MB.)

Yes, there is a search, but it only accounts for bags and retainer bags, not the FC chest or on MB.

There is an addon called Altoholic for WoW (No, not asking for an addon, asking for this addon's functionality to be added in game. In b4 trolls.):
    1) It had an interface showing contents of all bag-slots, bank-slots, guild bank slots, mail (that had been seen), and AH (market board) listed items - for each character. (Only as of the last time you checked each location, and stored in a local file. What you are looking for may not be there anymore, or vice versa, but it still gives a sense of where to look.)

    2) It allowed you to use a search field regardless of where you were. (As opposed to having to ask for a link or going to a MB to find a link to use for a search for something like a housing item you cannot yet see or cannot make.)

    3) it also put information right into the tooltip, so that you could easily see where it was. For people who like clean tooltips, maybe an option to turn this on/off?

    • Please give me the option to choose when or to which class to receive the benefits of a completed challenge log...
I just ran 2 leveling roulettes on my AST, before leaving to run some errands. I log back in, and someone in my guild is like "hey, come play in expert roulette with us!" I, of course, completely forget I only needed 1 more for the dungeon log entry, and ran the expert on my 60. This meant I missed out on ~86k exp as I recall... (Not the first or even the tenth time I've done this!)

Even if it meant having to re-run another dungeon on the job I wanted the exp on, that's still better than getting 0 exp, which was why I ran the initial two dungeon roulettes in the first place! This is especially true if it could be customized as a setting you could opt-in and turn on if you're forgetful (like me).

(I do try to be careful, but still forget a lot of times... And really, is "no, sorry, I have to run a lvling roulette first because exp, then I can help you" a valid thing to say? Seems kind of rude and self-serving!)

    • Please tell me by how much a synthesis skill is going to boost progress (assuming it succeeds)....
I can't count the number of times I've either failed something because I was sure it wouldn't be done in 1 synthesis (but it wasn't), or wasted a turn because I wasn't sure and it was completeable in 1 turn.

    • It is indicated when an item is equipped to A set... Can information on WHICH set(s) be put into the tooltip?
Just something when hovering over an item that is part of a set saying something like "Equipped to: ARC, LNC, PGL" or "Saved to: ARC, LNC, PGL."

    • Can you put a level on the tooltip for items used in crafting? I wind up searching through the entire gatherer lists because I have no idea what level the material I need for a crafter is... Or allow a "search by gathering method" option, which functions similarly to the "search by crafting method"....
I get that things can be used in multiple levels of crafting, but I think most only have 1 level of gathering, even when across professions? (I.e., Shards, Unaspected crystals, Dark Matter Clusters, etc)

    • Also be nice to see what the party leader queued for...
Right now, I can see that we've queued... And generally one knows what one has been pulled into... Would just be nice to be able to see if there was a mis-queue or what you've been dragged into, lol. I don't normally care when guildies just queue for stuff, I really don't, I just wish I could see it before entering.

    • Thank you emote?
I keep looking for this... Just a quick /thx or /thanks leading to "You thank <t>" or something when someone does a nice act - such as buffing you... I guess I could /s thank you, or make a macro to click (though I'm much more of a keyboard person), this would just be easier - and seems really simple!

I really hate the "shows their uncontrolled jubilation" (or something) emote, and nothing really fits the "thank the person" function that I can see... (Unless I just haven't unlocked the emote yet... lol)

    Edit for additions:
    • I wish you could tag (or at least sort) Linkshells...
By this point, I'm in 4 or 5 different LS's, and I sometimes forget which ones are for which thing... IE: I just found out I was calling hunts in a pony-farm LS, because I forgot it wasn't a hunt-farm LS! Doh! >.<
    • Sorting minions/mounts and/or displaying whether we already have it...
    • Displaying gear for crafters/gatherers only when looking at the market board... Instead of any gear labeled 'for any use.'
Even if I could search just by stats.... It makes so little sense to see Int gear when looking for BOT gear... >.>

Yeah, this is one that still bugs me, too. Instead of just telling us we weren't able to get item X, tell us we can't get X unless we clear space for it, and give us a chance to delete something else (or use something else, or move something to the armoury chest, or any other way of opening up a spot).

LOTRO added a really nice feature for this. Items we receive when we don't have space go into a temporary overflow bag and we have an hour in which to open up space for them and take them before they'd be deleted. We not only have time to delete something else to make room, but can go back to town where we can sell off random stuff or store it in our vault or whatever to make room. That way inventory management can be done after a dungeon run or exploring/questing expedition rather than during it. Getting something like that in this game would be fantastic.

This is already available in the right-click menu.

Listing the gathering level in the tooltip as well would be an improvement, but at least they added a search option. That helps.

I've taken to using /serpentsalute for this (or the corresponding ones if I'm on an alt in one of the other GCs). It's not exactly a thank you, but I think it gets the point across.

I've looked nigh everywhere for this... Where is it?

Unfortunately, all of my crafters are still somewhere between lvls 35 and 42, and gatherers range from 35 (fsh) to 60 (no stars; bot)... (It also doesn't help for things that are neither crafted nor gathered.) I'mma nub....

Yeah, I guess that sort of works... Might just be the RP'er in me... I don't really want to get into a drawn out emote thing because they're in some opposing GC, when I was just trying to say, "hey, thanks for helping me to kill the mob," lol.

Right click on an item in your Armoury Chest (one of the ones with the little "in gear set" icon in the corner) and select "Open Gear Set List" from the context menu. It will list the sets that use that item.

Not quite as easy as just seeing the information in the tooltip, but better than nothing! lol
    Thank you!

    My two cents:
    • Would like my 1.x loot list back — all looted items are passed into the lootlist, a essentially small fly-out window mounted by default to the right, allowing you to see what's recently been looted, so that you can quickly double-click on the items to put them in your bag or right-click for the options to discard or pass to a group member. Loot lists are shared between parties but increase maximum holding size per player and show who has first dibs on (would automatically take into inventory) each item.

    • Would like to be able to make use of * searches. E.g.
"*of maiming" = any search ending in "of maiming"
"* <search term>" for a search phrase ending in a separate keyword or string thereof
"*<search term>*" for any search phrase including the search term within
    etc., etc.
