Thread: Regarding racial/gender/name changes for 2.0

i suport the name change along with the race/gender change lore is irelavent its more about having gender specifac names please dont shorten them ither i like the long names its pretty darn cool in my opinion

If they are changing the name system then yes I would support the option to change it. But if the name system remains unaltered then there is no reason to allow people to change it unless it's through a separate channel and with a legitimate purpose and possibly a fee. A whole bunch of name changes will be more confusing to the majority of the player base, and the reason for people doing so being "I feel like it" doesn't justify such an action.

As far as race goes anyone should be able to recreate their appearance under the circumstances of new skins and quirks.

I am 100% for character race/name/gender change. Right now I play Roegadyn but I was torn when I first started this game, I started as a female Lalafell CNJ got it to 20 or so and then decided to play a Roegadyn Archer so I deleted that character. Sometimes I wish I had stuck with my original choice but now I will be able to have the option to change it down the road and I think that is pretty righteous.

Adding male miqote and female roegadyn and not allowing players to change gender seems pretty silly to me.
I'm sure they have more sense than that.

That's what I assumed, but in the latest interviews, they have been getting touchy on the subject, going; "Mmmh.. we're not sure if we should let you do it. Please discuss this futher."

I like idea of all this, because if you couldnt change gender, how would you become a male miqote or female highlander? makes no sense to not be able to if these are to be released in v2.

I don't even get why Yoshi became so hesitant about it.

Didn't he say at first we'd get the option to change with 2.0?
I kind of understand why he might be against name changes, (people getting angry because they can't find their friends anymore, bad people changing their name to not get recognized anymore,etc.) but at least everything else would be just fair.
Players shouldn't get penalized for playing this game prior to 2.0!

Personally, I don't want to change to a new race/gender, but I hate the looks of my character so much, everyday I'm just waiting desperately for the costumize option..even if I have to pay for it (not 30€ or something though)

Giving us new graphics, new genders and new races without an option to change really sucks.

YES, I think it is a good idea! I hope our feedback reaches him!>:O

If they plan to add new races do they expect us to start over? I think allowing us to change race/gender and name would be really nice. I don't think they should say they will and then change their minds half way through. Not cool.
