Suggestion: Can it be made more obvious when Cleric Stance is active?

In the heat of battle it sometimes becomes apparent that although I think I've turned CS off, I haven't. This is not always noticed immediately, in part due to playing on PS4 on a large TV screen. Even with my Status Effects at 140% size the icons are still relatively small.

Often I have attempted to turn off CS whilst doing other things and think it should have turned off, but for whatever reason it hasn't. Using a controller CS has to always be available taking into consideration multiple cross-hotbars, in an easy enough position to quickly trigger whilst keeping people alive, switching cross-hotbars, dodging, switching between party/alliance/enemy targets.

I've played on PC previously and this was a lot easier to deal with as I could quickly right-click it off.

I feel it would be helpful if there was a visual animation similar to self-buffs such as Astral Fire/Umbral Ice so that players are able to notice quicker whether CS is on or off.

    inb4L2play.

    Thanks!

I once read a post that when Paladin uses Flash, the pitch varies depending on how much mana they have left. (I haven't checked myself yet)

Maybe they could do something like that with cleric stance and give all your heals an off-pitch noise when healing with Cleric Stance active so that you know you aren't getting the full potency of your healing spells?

There's a command to remove a specific buff, but I can't remember it at the moment. Warriors use it to drop Raw Intuition.

Remember when Darkside had an aura and it had to be removed because of reasons?

Cleric Stance coud have a fiery aura on your character, so you would always know when it's on...

I was thinking something more subtle that was there for convenience to the player rather than extravagance and job-flavour. Which is why I mentioned Astral Fire/Umbral Ice.

When I heard that I went to test it out.... it's true, but still subtle.

You can't right click cleric off, only timed buffs can be right clicked to disable them.

It has been a long time since I've played on PC, thank you for the correction.

    The command is
    /statusoff "Buff Name"

but as mp-p said, this doesn't work for toggle buffs. This is prolly to keep us from deactivating a stance before the 2.5s-15s cooldown expires, which though it wouldn't be super broken to allow it on, say, a tank's offensive stance, it would open up quite a bigger window of convenience for the MCHs and BRDs who want to abandon the casting stance early. (Side note: In the case of Cleric Stance, the property has the side effect of locking you into it if you choose to un-crossclass it after turning it on.)

The most convenient solution for we, the players, would be to allow /statusoff to work on a toggle ability as long as it's not cooling down. That way we could spam the deactivate macro without the risk of turning it back on by pressing the button one too many times. This would, however, require more work from the devs.

A mild aura while it's active would be, I think, an acceptable alternative, depending on the particular visual effect they would use.

You can do some macro with cleric stance so you can have only have certain actions on your hotbar. You can set it up some how to turn on and have your dps spells come up and you can do the same for heals when turning it off. I've never tried it but I've heard it mentioned on here somewhere.
You can expand your status bar in HUD settings so the CS icon is bigger.
You could macro sound effects to your cleric stance. Have certain sound effect when it turns on and one for when it turns off.
Those are my only ideas besides SE making it more noticeable in a patch. I'm sure the macro one would work with a little homework and practice put into it.
