Separate Glamours for classes on shared gear.

I just want us to be able to have separate glamours for separate classes when wearing shared gear. I have been saving up a glamour for my AST when it hit 60 and I come to realize I can't glamour on my AST without it being on my WHM cause I am currently wearing the Midas gear.

Anybody else agree?

I was feeling the same way about i240 gear for my pld/drk. The helm I've glam'd originally was a PvP helm for pld. And I realized a few days ago that I won't be able to glam the same headgear (unless I want to over-ride the pld's glam).

Even more so for crafting classes.
For them, the class-specific armors look quite cool and unique.
The shared ones? Meh.
Is the reason why I go chest armor i200 red scrip, with the rest the shared ironworks.

And some glamours can't be used anymore like the golden earrings from collector gear

If I remember correctly, they said they cannot do this due to the amount of data that it would require. Basically, right now you have a data field that has a number in it, and that number references "the look" that the item has when worn. Glamours change that "the look" number to whatever you glamour to the gear. In order to accommodate the change desired, they would have to add 33+ "the look" values to the system : one for each job, and one for each class. Most of those fields would be left empty (or showing a zero or whatever their "null" value is) but they would have to have them for each class/job. Their concern, laughable as you or I may find it, is the increase in file size for each time (every five minutes?) they save your character to their servers. With all of the people playing, their concern is the increase in bandwidth required for all those saves taking place all the time.

Every 5 seconds if I recall,w hich is the reason they give about upgrading inventory. They could tie it to the equipment slot of each class instead of the items (though that would make wearing costumes harder) or having a second wear slots that override the looks of that slot like other mmos.
