What race and gender is your main character?

Female Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te.

Why? Because fluffy tail!

That's simplifying a bit of course, but...it's all aesthetic reasons. I like how the ears and tail move with certain animations, I like the tail in general and I also like the animations in general, I like the slit-pupils...yeah. The skin tones on the seeker side tend to have a warmer hue to them as well.

Miqo'te female: Keeper of the Moon.

I am a sucker for the big round eyes the moon kitties have. Female because I am female irl. And Miqo'te because... I am a future crazy cat lady and the ear movements and emotes are too damn cute.

Midlander females are my second favroite race, though. If we didn't have Miqo'te I would 100% be a Midlander.

I started as a lala, switched to AuRa, and then on a whim, made a Roe alt to go with my hubby's (short lived) Roe male. I actually liked it so much, I fantasia'd the next day. Aside from a couple of tweaks and hair changes, I haven't wandered from it. I think they're beautiful, without being super-cutesy!

Of all the races in the game, the ones that I find appealing are the Miquo'te and Elezen. I made 2 male alts in the closed beta, one Miquo'te and one Elezen, and when I saw them ingame, the Miquo'te looked like a fool and childish while the Elezen looked badass and quite handsome, and more mature definitively. So I kept the Elezen and deleted the Miquo'te. As for my Elezen I picked Wildwood because they're pale and their affinity with forests and nature. Since I made a male, apparently male Wildwood Elezens tend to be chivalrous, which is something I like for my character, to be chivalrous, noble and elegant. They also have good starting stats with intelligence and dexterity, which are the stats the jobs I was planning to play (BLM, SMN, BRD, NIN MCH later) need.

I've never changed my character after the game launched.
