Dude competition between player is competition between player, being an MMO doesn't have anything to do with that. Either you're trolling either you're just not clever enough to understand that a competition between player, either real or virtual, must give a fair chance to each participant at winning. People doing world tournament on LoL, Heartsone, Overwatch or GW2 clearly aren't winning by RNG.

Are they doing a tournament to win a virtual card that can be obtained through other methods? Cuz I'm pretty sure that's not the case in any of those games, right?

What you're asking for in that thread boils down to "make the TT tournaments easier for me", which is basically like what OP is asking here.

As far as I know the nightmare drop rate hasn't been buffed at all and if I remember right, it's a 3% drop. Too bad I see nightmare drop more often than the birds. I want to call shenanigans ._.

Like i said earlier, SE usually always adds drop rate buff (if any) in the patch notes. I have read every single patch note and keep a binder with all of them as reference and Nightmare was never increased, the name is fitting i guess, lol. Farmed the crap out of Primals back in the day, helped a friend's friend last weekend as they needed all ponies and nightmare dropped 2X, got it

I have all the mounts of ARR, Kirin and Unicorn too, except for Nightmare which I never saw drop, up until I was farming Garuda EX on my Warrior farming Garuda EX with other tanks for our tank mounts, and I saw it drop and I got Nightmare the mount. And since I've gotten it I've seen it drop often when I do ARR EX, it seems I'm sharing my luck with others. I wish Nightmare could fly, it'd be really cool. Nightmare is my favorite mount now.
