PLD highest DPS tank single target

WHAT!? Paladin is the highest dps tank on a single target ? Hammer your crazy!
Current meta for the past year - maybe forever - has placed Paladin as the lowest dps tank both against single target and encounters with many enemies ... why!? (Inc Rant , youve been warned ) Both Warrior and DRk have great AOE dps when a War sees five enemies he says great im gonna double my parse on these , when a paladin sees the same group he says great im gonna flash em so hard - total dps loss and Circle of scorn is nothing compared to the numbers DRK and War can produce in a AoE situation.
SooOoooo... why , for the love of god since PLD AoE dps sucks so bad, are we not at least given the ability to be the highest SINGLE target damage dealing tank??? I hate runnin dungeons on my PLD for the simple fact that flash is a complete waste of dps time. Plz note im 229 ilv on my PLD and I do 1025 dps on Stone Sea Sky ,yet PLD is the lowest single target and by FAR lowest AOE tank of all!

I imagine it's because of the shield mitigation. Or because of PLD/MNK setup vs DRK/NIN setup where MNK makes up the difference against NIN, that DRK makes against PLD. Or because it's the easiest tank to play. Who knows.

I would aurgue that mitigation is nearly equal between the tanks , War and Drk both are used in MT positions and they do fine in the current meta. So again why must PLD be lowest single target and by Far lowest multi target tank dps???

Why isn't paladin the best single target dps tank? Becasue it would be simply broken. I'm sorry, but Kitfox is right. Its simply about mitigation and tools, and allowing paladin to deal more dmg than it is, would secure its place in the MT slot forever, and we'll have first alex all over again, except in reverse, Paladin MT only, no drks please.

Yet its ok for Drk to have higher Aoe and single target dps with nearly the same cool downs as PLD and mitigations - PLD is a eye lash better at mitigation than DRK - yet PLD cant even touch the DPS a War or a DRK produces single or especially multi target

Pld has the highest physical mitigation and the best tank heal and a lot of support cds to help out their group and now you want them to be better at what drk and war were designed for? Please stop.

PLD in sword oath has always been the higher DPS tank for single targets. This isn't a secret.

PLD in sword oath does NOT produce more single target dps than the other 2 tanks sorry completely untrue , I do wish it was the case though.
