Recipe's would be a great Idea for guild marks. As it stands the very limited methods of acquiring recipe's in game are obnoxious. I would love to be able to buy some. Perhaps make the guild have random new ones every day or so.
This would also be a neat way to supplement the Treasure Map system they are supposedly planning for DoL.. but I suppose they have to actually get a plan in motion for that..
Incentivizing a grind seems rather dull to me.
It's one thing to have a grind that opens a whole realm of possibilities, such as the process of leveling from 1 to 50 and how this opens up new content and new abilities to use across all classes. But creating one just for the sake of singular recipes that tend to go out-of-fashion once new and better gear comes along seems rather sad and depressing. It's a one-way, lengthy trip to a fleeting reward. That would probably make people want to quit than stick around to do more of the same over and over.

It's not like anyone is arguing that they should require players to grind guild marks. The argument here is that it's much better to give people a good use for things they are already getting, as opposed to removing them completely, wasting a resource that could be better utilized in so many ways.
anima rewards would be a wonderful, potential replacement for guild marks.
There really isn't any grind for guild marks. At least not anymore than there is a grind for Spirit Bond, Faction or Gil. It something you should acquire naturally as you progress through the game. People who want to get everything as fast as possible should have the opportunity to specifically target them, but they should never have to go out of there way if they don't want to.Incentivizing a grind seems rather dull to me.

The easiest solution of course would be to stop using Marks as a replacement for Leve rewards and start awarding them as a supplement like they do with Local Leves.
