It's also personal preference of yours that jump be in the game, am I not allowed to have my own opinion? Why do people think not having jump is what makes a MMO "archaic" and "barbaric?" Why does WoW, I don't care if you don't like to hear it, you know it's true, have to be the standard for every MMO? Just because the millions of Korean and Chinese knockoffs(racism is not intended) all follow WoW in an attempt to cash in on it's success doesn't mean this game should.

Just because SWTOR, Rift, GW2 and Tera can't think of anything new but small tweaks to the WoW formula, which isn't entirely original in itself, doesn't mean that other MMOs can't try something different. It's not a "MMO standard," it's a stagnating formula.

WoW is dying, yes. SWTOR copies the WoW style doing to the tee. Rift was a complete copy. TERA, GW2 both based on the WoW model. It's not WoW I'm talking about, it's all the big star titles coming out that are takes on WoW.

You seem to be having a hard time coping with the truth. If SWTOR doesn't copy from WoW, then what does it copy from?
No really, I'm curious. Yes, I realize that SWTOR is shaping up to be a terrible game, but that won't stop it from be successful. Why are you so convinced that jumping is needed for a "modern" MMO?

The fact that you've introduced a negative viewpoint in the midst of such high spirits in regards to the game creates a pretty heavy contrast making you seem like a major party pooper.

I wonder what it feels like to never question the dev team's choices. Particularly with 'everything is instanced. EVERYTHING' and this useless jump feature.

Useless now. Perhaps not later but as it serves no function I don't see how this game is worse off for not having it. The game plays the same as any typical MMO and is not hindered by not having Jump.

All jump does is annoy and make it so you don't have to take an extra .2 second to walk around a small rock. Didn't we already fix some of the issues by making it so we can walk through most solid objects/beings? Are you all so lazy that you need something so useless?

So my unpopular opinion, please don't stone me, is that it has no purpose that benefits the game at large and therefore shouldn't be implemented until a time where it can be put to use. D:
