    I'm just really happy a free form of jumping is being worked on. I believe in Yoshi-P and the devs team, they will make jumping Final Fantasy-esque as well as useful in plenty of circumstances in the new Eorzea maps.

    Yup, that's an excellent question. Hopefully Yoshi-P will positively answer that question in the upcoming months.

    Yoshida mentioned 'emote' when he first even brought up the idea for Jump and as far as I know, emotes serve no true purpose outside of a few quests and can't be used in battle or active mode.

    So it's just a mechanic to not feel tethered, highly unlikely it will have any real implementation.

    Jump height looked fine to me.

    It occurs to me that they really should be more customer conscious. Is it more prudent to add a feature that does nothing to add to game experience and makes your current customers dislike your product, or to add the feature and drive those people away.

    I'm not saying that lots of people will quit playing over this issue, but there will be some.

    Honestly, will people stop playing if they do not add this feature?

    They already did. There is a very large group of people waiting for this feature before they return.

    If people stop playing because they add or do not add this feature they need some serious help, jumping is hardly a feature worth quitting over no matter which side of the implementation you fall on.

    the look of "Jumping" looked allright to me, nothing super fancy & looked smooth.
    And yes abit too high, maybe drop it down 15-20%.

    Not a big fan of Jump feature, unless its needed for some platform
    jumping content, neverthless something new / fun perhaps. meh

    (Did enjoy jumping around like an idiot in WoW thou...lol)
