What does that have to do with FFXI though? You specifically stated FFXI is an old game when you were responding to the "Doesn't feel Final Fantasy enough" statements.

Not very good at looking from another persons perspective then I guess...let me follow suit.

Personally I find that rampant jumping is silly, I can't fathom the idea of someone actually enjoying it.

Constantly jumping isn't a matter of enjoyment, it's a matter of boredom more often than not. The human mind wants to always be active, even if its moving your thumb up and down to jump constantly.

You don't "need" anima and teleporting either but we all can't have our way.

Why add anything to the game, someone insecure might get offended by it and demand an option to turn it off/not implement it at all. Get over yourselves.

Oh I didn't know you were in the 2.0 alpha. Travelling faster is not required.

and you are right, no I am not in 2.0 alpha, or any of the sort, so they might be redesigning the zones with platforming in mind, and there for jump in turn would be "needed", still does not change the fact that adding platforming into a MMORPG is a pointless talk and a waste of time.

as of right now though, FFXIV does not have platforming elements, and does not need jump, so if they do add it, atleast better not be till 2.0
