    Emphatically yes.

    - The main scenario quest, even into Heavensward, will give you plenty to chew on and you can take it at whatever pace you please. It's quite dense, very much along the lines of the single-player Final Fantasy games.
    - None of the classes have a particularly steep learning curve, skill selection is small and manageable, and combat is slow-and-steady paced, with long global cooldowns.
    - You do not have to "master" any class to complete most content. Maximum DPS output, most efficient healing, and best damage mitigation while tanking is mostly a concern only in harder optional content.
    - There are numerous "casual" Free Companies on every server that are more focused on socializing than clearing challenges, and as a general rule, many of the people in them are more than willing to give a leg up to players struggling with some challenge or another.

And do note: If at any point you choose to attempt more difficult content, gearing up for it is relatively quick and painless, and the hardest activities require eight players at most, which makes it easier to communicate and coordinate. The 24-player raids are, generally speaking, not overly challenging except when they're first released and the community as a whole is still "learning" them, past which point a struggling player can be effectively carried through with minimal trouble.

This game is probably the most casual friendly MMO there. It's so casual to the point that some hardcore and semi-hardcore players complain about it time to time.

just avoid "savage" and extreme fights , some duties will fail in duty finder, try to not let it get to you.

I suggest playing an easier job that does not require DPS, if u want not to worry about somoene complaining about ur dps. try a SCH ( arcanist ) as a healer. the SCH is not a complicated job to master and can add dps to the raid with his dots or selen. also the DF queue is pretty decent for healers. avoid playing a rotation heavy job whch is usually the case for DPS.

u can also try PLD, a failry simple job as well. tanking and agro managemeent, cooldown management is not super hard to master.

    Is this a serious topic.

This is the most casual MMO ever released on the market, just about.

Did you really just suggest scholar as something to not dps with.

    I'm so offended.

Weeping City is casul content content and most people who are midcore will still do savage content just won't clear it as fast as hardcore players.

Some people, like presumably the OP, don't live their lives in the world of video games. As a result they:

    1. Don't have a point of reference for what's considered easy or hard by any given player base, and are further confused by people erroneously describing things as "easy" when in fact those people have simply gotten good at something.

    2. Are prone to picking up the noise coming from an ever-present vocal minority that complains about "casuals" and assumes anyone who doesn't make video games their second job is going to be met with hostility (which may include dismissals in the form of an "are you serious" statement)

    3. And so, as a result of 1 and 2, will ask questions like this one.

I have found as a casual player who sometimes plays hardcore 8-10 hrs on weekends that there is more than enough to keep me interested and challenged at the same time. The reality is that mechanics in dungeons and raids is where you'll find your challenge but not so much that you'll smash you head against the keyboard. Extreme primals and savage require a coordinated group (I havent done much of either but I'd like to change that).

Overall I think this game has a good mix but that's the opinion of someone who hasn't ran with many coordinated groups except in dungeons. Dont go anywhere you're in for a real treat here man!
