I dont know about you guys, but I realy realy reeeeealy want the Viera race ingame! I was so dissapointed when we didnt get the Viera with 3.0
I love the Au Ras (Im one myself) but still it would have been awesome.

I did read that it became to Close to a Lala and thats why they stoped, but how about just make em original ? Tall and Slim.

SE have made it clear they're not going to introduce the viera to the game - they're too much like the miqo'te in that they're just 'humans with animals parts attached', and thus Yoshi does not want the game to become inundated with races that are just copy and pastes off each other. Besides, viera are part of the Ivalice games, which FFXIV is not a part of.

Really, I'd rather them not introduce any more new races but increase the character creation options for the races we already have, and ignore the fanboys.

I'm really sorry if my post has sounded harsh, but SE have made their choice and are sticking by it. And it's a decision I agree with.

exactly the aura was a good idea because, basically it's not hyur. while moqito do look nice, they are hyru really, with a tail and those kitty ears, but they are far from cats, the real cats were in FFXI , those felt like cat race.

Roes and lalafell are less human-like, because in this context, humanoid refers to hyur, and the size and shape of the race matters greatly. Imagine if you will that we did get a race that had bunny ears and a tail, but it used the lalafell skeleton, it would be rather unique to what we have on offer right now.

If demand increases and game popularity reduces. I think Viera will make a return as a Trump Card to boost game popularity up the rank, otherwise it won't. Maybe we'll find Viera to be residents of lost western Black shrouds. xD

I agree that we could use more options to the current character creation, more features to be adjusted.

As for Humanoids, SE is a Perfect-Beauty obsessed. So don't expect to get a Beast looking race to be playable at all.
