The Maelstrom companie

Here i am turning around in cercle trying to reach level 18 (i'm sick of repeating the same quest...) and then I start wondering, wich level do I need to reach to get in the Maelstrom companie?

Level 22 lets you start the company storylines, but it's only a few quests. Most of them are 25+.

You can become a recruit in all 3 companies (at the same time) at level 22.

I'd suggest taking advantage of that. You get Grand Company points just by completing the quests to become a recruit. Even if you know you're going to join Maelstrom -- and good choice! -- you can still spend your Grand Company points for Uldah and Gridania on things like gear or Engineering Manuals (which give more crafting XP).

Just make sure you spend your GC points for the other cities before joining one Grand Company exclusively. You won't be able to use your Uldah and Gridania GC points once you join Maelstrom.

Hello ^^. First off, I don’t know what Vydarr is talking about; it’s all about the Twin Adders :P. Just kidding of course. Anway, that’s great advice to utilize the grant company seals that you’ll accumulate!

Also, just for further assistance, once you pledge to an individual grand company and become a Private Third Class you are unable to be a recruit in any of the other grand companies so take you time doing all the quest of each company as a recruit before pledging your allegiance. In each company there are four quests which require rank 22, four quests which require rank 25, one quest that requires rank 45, and another quest that requires rank 30. There are several guides online, especially at great websites such as Eorzeapedia. Hope this helps!
