Haha, I think the versions are fine named as they are. It's super simple to follow, they don't skip numbers so 1.20 is our next patch. As Answa said we have been over 1.02 already. lol

Who really cares its not like we are going all the way to 2.0 one decimal at a time.
Once the new client comes out it goes directly to 2.0.



The next patch is one twenty not one two or one two thousand. 1.9 is lower than 1.10 because its one nine and one ten, the period only acts as a separator. There's zero math going on here beyond it going up incrementally. Great job being as wrong as the WoW forums when this came up.
Is there anything you guys don't argue about?



As the OP and Tira have said, SE calls the patch 1.20, which is not the same as 1.2 or 1.200.
From a software developer perspective this makes sense. And for those looking at this like math, I can see why you would come to your conclusion.
The patch numbering does not indicate how close they are to 2.0.
And this topic will resurface should the day come where we get to 2.9 and you see 2.10 instead of 3.0.
