My static was hopeful for raid finder and tried to recruit a dps a few times. Wait times were horrible, so we switched to PF and snagged someone quickly. Not working as intended.![]()

There's nothing wrong with that. If you're not having fun, you should leave and find something else that makes you happy.
That time i queued up for DF, Forgot about it, went to the supermarket, came home and saw it up there and still made the duty, haha.

Raid Finder Failed me, even after it maxed out I went about my day and still never popped lol.
You realize people who take breaks sometimes they don't come back right? I've seen people tke breaks even since 2.x era and they didn't come back, most of them were raiders.
Taking a break won't fix the problems the game has, it won't fix the raiding scene, it won't stop being weekly tomes every single time new ilvl comes, and a lot more stuff.
I don't take a break because i can't find anything else to play, i bought Tales of Zestiria, Trails in the Sky and Fairy Fencer F on Steam sale and i don't have patience for them, i always end up coming to FFXIV.
Breaks don't always work even when you try.
This. I've taken two breaks from this game, and i've been playing since 2.2.You realize people who take breaks sometimes they don't come back right? I've seen people tke breaks even since 2.x era and they didn't come back, most of them were raiders.

First break was for a month because of general burnout. Second break was after 3.1 because of the extreme content drought, which lasted me two months.
I'm already considering my third with thoughts of making it permanent. Considering they *****MIGHT**** keep the same formula in 4.0, I see no point in bothering. I just finished my 240 relic, and I don't really need to do savage anymore because of my gear pretty much being more than enough to do anything in this game.
Simply taking a break from this game as a way to deal with content droughts is the same as ignoring the issue in my case. It just doesn't work. I was thinking of sticking around for palace of the dead, but considering it's going to be really casualized and that the harder floors won't be available for a while, that pretty much tells me 3.35 is going to bore me immediately.
It's usually an attention span thing. I've taken obscenely long breaks from different things before (baring the thought that I somehow have no interest in this thing or that other thing), then coming back to them, wondering why I left to begin with. Hell, I still do that with snes games as well. Terranigma is so underrated. >>
I'm pretty sure the main use of Raid Finder isn't to make statics, but rather help those who don't have one.
Still, it's a failed experiment, the raid scene itself isn't in very good shape, then most raiders already have a static, while others are just waiting for 3.4 -- and what this means is that the wit times for people without a static, say someone who just wants weekly clear, will have huge queue times, unless it's done on Tuesday.
Another reason for Raid Finder not being working as it should is that most raiders are already i240 on main and some on secondary job, so it's less people. I believe the Raid Finder will be useful once 3.4 hits but for now it's not.

That's what my FC does. Oh, sure, I could stop being a lazy bastard and actually be more helpful for my FC's static, but it's just one more person that they have to break in again.
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
That's not even remotely related to what I'm talking about. You shouldn't stay subscribed out of some misguided notion that it will somehow change the game for the better. The strongest message you can send to the developers is "this isn't worth my money," and stop playing. An MMO shouldn't be a duty or a job, it should be fun, and if you're not having fun, you should go wherever you can find fun.You realize people who take breaks sometimes they don't come back right?
