    While incapacitated...

When we die in the field and don't have anyone who can raise us... instead of our only option being to Return to whatever aetheryte or aetherial node we have set as our home point we should also be allowed to teleport, using anima in relation to the zone we are in to recover at a closer location.

In short... allow us to Return OR Teleport upon being incapacitated.

Wouldn't make any sense. Anima usage has always implied some kind of physical strain, thus only having a limited amount and slowly regenerating it. I believe early in development they also mentioned how teleporting via the aether was a very strenuous activity. If you've been knocked unconscious you can't very well will yourself to go somewhere.

Nice idea, but unless the lore behind aether travel is rewritten, it wouldn't make any sense.

Makes just as much sense as returning to a homepoint. More in fact. And given their cavalier attitude about changing how anima works in regard to Return (seeing as how it used to cost anima.) they could just as easily append the lore to allow this as well.

I've always viewed returning to home point more like one of the Twelve giving you a hand, as opposed to the character willing themselves to go home.

Home Point = your happy place your in danger of being killed by that beast that knocked you out... so your subconscious returns you to your safe place. teleporting is your conscious willing you to that area.

done and done lets just roll with that and call it end forum lol

Neither of those really translate into lore though... they just translate into your own personal interpretations of a game mechanic...

I don't like the idea of using anima dead. IMO it's just like talking dead. The return is just the option of returning to your last checkpoint...something just as old as the RPG itself.
