Yeah, we haven't heard details of what we're getting yet so that could go south. Hopefully not though. I know that PSO got the Odin fight.

No thank you. If you want WoW items go play WoW and keep them away from FF. If they did start doing this then that may be the straw that stops me from playing anymore.

Crossovers are so bland, simple and boring that I would rather have no crossovers untill they can bring something like Phantasy Star online 2 brought. New trial, gear, mount etc., the trial could even stay forever and become a part of roulettes. Just don't give us 3 boring FATEs or daily quest grind. Untill then I vote no for any crossover, no matter if its FFXV or WoW.
Expecting a FFXV crossover for sure
If I was going to be wishful:
The Last Guardian: FFXIV mount, Yorda & Ico minion, FATES with the Colossi
Capcom Crossover: Akuma minion, Ryu outfit glamor
Sega Crossover: Eggman ship mount, Panzer Dragoon mount, Sonic minion, PSO weapons
I rather we have more Non-Final Fantasy games from Square Enix crossovers. I love to see Kingdom Hearts minions, keyblade weapons or outfits. If we did get a WoW crossover, then I would like to have a feral druid (cat form) as a mount.
Yes, they take some design elements from WoW. For me, that is more than enough.I find the WoW hate pretty funny to be honest. Yoshida and Co use WoW as a design reference point and the game has a large number of WoW expats and current players playing it.
While I can't see exactly how they would pull it off, I certainly wouldn't say no to a murloc minion.
As far as the people from WoW that come play this game? The more the merrier with one caveat. This is a Final Fantasy game, it is not WoW, accept that it is not WoW and never should be.
Oh, I almost forgot to vote. My vote is nothing from WoW please.
So this is a good example of what I was talking about. Why the derision? I don't play EVE or B&S or GW2 or Wildstar but I get why people do and can recognize when those games do something right. You guys act like WoW is some kind of disease when the reality is that all of these games have things in their DNA , mechanical - not lore, that would give you a better game experience.Yes, they take some design elements from WoW. My derision is simple. In both XI and XIV, I cannot tell you how many times I have heard that this feature or that feature or some other thing from WoW needs to be put into this game because without it the FF game is terrible and not worth playing. If I wanted to play WoW or experience its magnificence, I would play it. I am a Final Fantasy fan beyond anything else. Tell someone that something they love is crap or second to something else and you will see them develop a dislike of said thing. So this is a good example of what I was talking about. I do dislike where they have taken the MMO market of late, not always, but it has grown over the last few years. The instant 100 being at the top of that list.
I am a long time Final Fantasy player, consoles and MMOs both. To me, the point of any Final Fantasy game is the story first, before anything else. That is why I played XI before and after the release of WoW, played both versions of this game instead of any other.
I cannot and will not say that I speak for everyone that has a dislike of WoW, just myself.
Real quick on topic before I continue derailment: I want to echo the kingdom hearts suggestion. Not the disney stuff because I suspect that they won't be able to get the rights to do it, but definitely some of the weapons and clothes.
and if they could get disney rights to things like Alice in Wonderland or TRON I would be a happy happy gamer.
So, here's the thing. You're not talking to a person who's saying that and I'm not going to apologize for those people. Just because some people are jerks doesn't mean that the game is awful. A portion of EVE's players are trolltastic, that doesn't mean that the sandbox elements of the game are terrible, just that those people are.My derision is simple. There are features of this game that I genuinely love. in fact, SE went to great measures to take the best bits to include in their games DNA. Thats a goodly part of why I'm playing this and not WoW right now. For me, it's a better fit.
The pet battle system? Not so much. The biggest thing I wish we could mirror from WoW right now is that, the next biggest is the variety of vanity toys.
I'm not going to justify that bit of corporate money making. Their game is on it's way down the ladder and they're grabbing at what they can. Why Yoshi made an off the cuff comment about doing that here is beyond me. If he has any sense he won't do it.I do dislike where they have taken the MMO market of late, not always, but it has grown over the last few years. The instant 100 being at the top of that list.

My response wasn't directed at you personally. I was trying to answer your questions that you had asked earlier. It also seems that we partly agree so good for us.![]()
